The real currency has gold/oil as the foundation. The proof of Bitcoin is the result of pure computing power and has no material meaning. What is built on such a thing has exceeded its value and is a pure bubble.
If you don’t understand what the calculation result is, I can give a popular example. If there is an online game in the world that cannot be recharged, then the result of your game is the result of the calculation. The purpose is to produce substances, and it will not directly cause or promote the results of the production of substances.
The risk is that the score of the game can only be used as currency when people think it can be used as currency. If the game is abandoned by people, then the so-called game score may not even be as good as a piece of toilet paper.

Trying to understand their thinking, I think it's simply because the concept of Bitcoin and it's decentralization is just so new and "bizarre" that it's difficult for some people to grasp. It's something that took a good amount of time to actually click in my head as well.

Also taking note that having something totally digital would sound BS to a boomer; pretty much the same people who say "buying videogame items is useless because you can't actually hold it", whereas a younger person who play videogames with economies(e.g. RuneScape, CSGO, etc) would grasp it a lot easier.

Yep. There are people who don't spend a bit of effort to try and understand it, there are people who fail to understand or totally misunderstand it, and people who are just bitter because they "missed out". It's just typical human psychology, which pretty much exists in a lot of things not only with Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and investments in generael.

I hope that that kind of mentality is going to go away in the next generation because I feel like being a close minded person is one of the many things that is holding back our society from progressing for the better.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that many people attack bitcoin because they didn't buy at the time, are still not buying, and deep down they want bitcoin to go to shit to see that their decision was the right one. Conversely, if bitcoin keeps going up, deep down they know how dumb they were for letting such an opportunity slip away.

There are other variants of this, such as those who bought high and sold at the drop in price for FUD.

Just because Bitcoin has been the most profitable asset of the last 10 years doesn't mean that there aren't people who have lost a lot of money investing in it. And many of those people attack it at the slightest drop in price.

That makes Bitcoin really more amazing. On one hand, we have a growing number of people who are convinced of the many contributions that Bitcoin so far made towards the way people are using money, banking and finance...on the other hand are people who failed to get the importance of Bitcoin, and yet they still manifested hate towards it. As long as Bitcoin is existing and will continue to be growing, there will always be critics and they are getting the light of the day especially if Bitcoin is having a downturn. One thing we have to remember is that something can be attacked all because it is already significant and is a game-changer, otherwise critics will be ignoring.

they are eager to grasp short-term profit and they couldn't take the risk followed. in their mind, providing that Bitcoin is not a fraud, once they invest in it, then money will flow in. Or Bitcoin should be slandered...really childish! you invest and then you bear the peril in it. that's how it works. they don't believe in Bitcoin and they don't deserve the wealth Bitcoin brings. All in all, they fall short in terms of knowledge about blockchain and Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

why they slander bitcoin, there are some jealous bitcoin competitors, because bitcoin has been around for a long time and is very accepted by people who play with the internet, there are also some bitcoin haters, they want to seek sensation, and want to make profit, by slandering bitcoin, and the price of bitcoin is falling, they continue to collect butcoins ..

I am just being optimistic, of course hoping isn't a bad thing. But to counter your argument that ignorance is here to stay, it will only stay if we don't do a thing about it, if we ourselves become parents, we can always pass down our open mindedness and positive trait to our kids in the future and if enough parents per generation do that, we might be able to eliminate ignorance.
