Investing in general is just some sort of 'tool' that people can use to potentially create or preserve wealth. It'll have both positive and negative impact on people's lives depending on who you ask.

I mean anyone can do without bitcoin or any other type of "investment" for that matter, as there's no such thing as one true investment that no on can live without.  Let's also not forget that bitcoin is inherently not even an investment, but a currency that has become an investment.  I think people seem to get themselves in to trouble thinking of it in a matter as an investment only, because it's just simply not.

Investment is a conscious activity that we do to bring benefits in the future. This is a general definition that can be obtained from various sources. Investing in Bitcoin is one way we can do that fits the definition of investment in general. Recently, we admit that Bitcoin is an investment asset that is popular with all people and for me that is very positive.

It's a brainer that bitcoin has changed a lot of lives and the way, we're living. Also, the knowledge that it had given about the economy, how it works as an investment, and the technology that it has introduced globally. Can we imagine how vast the information and help bitcoin has given to each and every one of us? We're all grateful that Satoshi Nakamoto has made this project and now, it's on the mainstream while the big financial institutions are on it too. Originally, it should be an alternative transfer although it's there being used as is but there's another use that has came out from it and that's being a store of value.

Since investing in Bitcoin has been massively profitable for early users, hence, for such investors Bitcoin has played  very positive role to bring about a pleasant change in life. Hence , such huge earning intensest is the bedrock of investors. But , those who invested in late 2021 when Bitcoin was on its peak, for them Bitcoin is a terrible investment because they badly got hurt by 85% fall in Bitcoin price from its ATH , though they will also make good gains if they have the capacity of holding it till next bull run.

Whatever direction Bitcoin takes in coming months, but it will remain hot topic of discussion on social media.

 

This is just wrong.
There are millions of investors out there who haven't touched bitcoin, there are hundreds of investment funds with millions or billions in assets who haven't done so either.
Just to get a picture of what a tiny percentage Bitcoin is, the total value of all the coins (including Satoshi's coins) is just 1/4 of the Pension Fund of Norway, right now by market cap Bitcoin would be the 25th of the publicly listed companies and let's not add real estate, art, or just jewelry which has an annual turnout of nearly the same size.

If we would be at the point where we couldn't do without BTC we wouldn't be at 16k and certainly not at 300k transactions a day with just 5k BTC in LN.
There is a very long way to go till that moment.

Aside from profit, what are the other positive impacts of Bitcoin to one's life? Many people indeed earned huge amount of money not only from Bitcoin but to other cryptocurrencies as well. But that is enough with gaslighting its flaws. Investors cannot do their 'investing' habits without Bitcoin? There are other assets which are less risky but are profitable such as with stocks. Investing to cryptos would be more profitable but that would also mean bigger risk because of too volatile market price. We just tend to highlight positive sides of a crypto investor story. But try asking big time investors on how much did they lose before reaching that certain point. Makes it no surprising why ither investors moved out. Simply because we have investment preferences.

Investing right in bitcoin relies on picking the best time to invest. Those who bought during the early days of bitcoin not all of them banked money with bitcoin. While some OGs didn't sell, some sold earlier when the price move was a bit enticing to them. That doesn't mean investing in bitcoin now won't change investors lives. Hitherto, this is the right moment to purchase bitcoin and hold for the bull run. Investors who don't know the right time to buy will wait till its bullish before investing again into bitcoin which is why some profit and the other lose woefully

In my personal case, Bitcoin was my introduction to long term investment.
It was not stocks or bonds or even metals, because those are difficult to access to from my country, are centralized or hard to conceal.
My decisions have not made me rich and I did not expect Bitcoin to make me rich, but rather it has improved my financial life and money management. In this country where one cannot even trust the government or custodial wallets, having control over one's assets definitely helps.

Perhaps, some day I will try to trade a bit (short term investments) but it is unlikely.
