Not sure where you got that, OP's screenshot even has a slide on "Bitcoin is not Blockchain" (and while I might not completely agree, or might agree more with "Bitcoin is Blockchain, but not only Blockchain", I think it's pretty clear the focus is anything but speculation/investment).

OP: who was the sponsor, and what was the context of this seminar, if the turnout was massive? Who, where? =)

Sorry OP. I am a person who doesn't like this kind of seminar. Because in my mind it's all about a call to invest. Investments and trading under the name of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology seminar. So if you're doing the same thing I'm thinking of, I don't think it's necessary. Beware, you could be hailed when they get big profit, but you will be hunted when they have big losses.

In general, it's good. But it will totally depend on how the person presents Bitcoin. It's great if the person focuses more on the actual uses and importance of Bitcoin, while it can be very bad if the person focused on making money and stuff.

I guess the people who have negative thoughts about this "sponsored" seminar had experienced being trapped in a Bitcoin Seminar and at the end of the seminar is recruited by a Ponzi scheme company.  Fraud companies also sponsor Bitcoin seminars since they choose it as their "main product",  have to explain Bitcoin from the get-go and after that, the audience are encouraged to join the company's business system.  

The sponsored term rings a bell though.  Maybe there is possibly a company behind the seminar.  I believe @OP is just invited to conduct a seminar but the audience is catered by other people.  I may be wrong but that's what hit my mind when I read the Sponsored Bitcoin Seminar.

I was also invited to conduct a sponsored Bitcoin Seminar but I rejected it because the one that asked me is obviously running a Ponzi scheme company.  Spreading awareness about Bitcoin is great but using it for greedy purposes isn't.

I just want to make clear that I am not saying that the situation of OP is the same, I am just saying why some members are negative about the sponsored seminar.  Regardless, congratulations on your successful Bitcoin seminar @OP, I hope you never get tired of your goal of spreading Bitcoin awareness.

Bitcoin should never be forced onto people. That's what the government is for - to force you to adapt to what suits them or what they call a greater cause. People are supposed to make the switch voluntarily and naturally after learning the difference between bitcoin and traditional finance. Understanding that you need nobody else but yourself to move money to any place in the world is a powerful message. All we can do is to educate and share information about the advantages of this alternative financial system. But like satoshi himself said in a post, "if you don't understand it, I have no time to explain it to you". I am sure I got the quote wrong, but it's something like that.

Thank you for spreading knowledge, but random sources from the Internet may lead to incorrect information, why not ask us to help you prepare a presentation, we will give you better sources and discuss the information to simplify it and make sure it is accurate.
