I don't think they should. You should save your seed phrase in testament so your coins won't be just lost, but until then I won't give access to my wallet to anyone.

I trust my partner just not with my seed phrase unless we both used our funds to buy the bitcoins in the wallet else I think they are just some things that need to remain private. If you tell your partner your seed phrase, what happens in the event of a divorce??

It means you have no intention of maintaining a long-term marriage, and you are just trying to work for yourself and not for your family or children. There's too much intent in your words, even your spouse, if you don't trust, then there is no one worth your trust.

I am a married person, I strive to this day also for my small family, I think if I want to be rich but have to trade happiness, I would rather accept poverty. In my opinion, money is only a material thing, if it is lost, it can always be found again, but happiness on the other hand can be difficult to find.

Too there some wife/Husband whom you can't leave with anything pataining money,  in that case it could lead to problem in the end .
For me the best thing to do is have a particular wallet she will know of the seed phrase while another will be a personal wallet only known by you.

It should be known by someone we trust can be the wife/husband or any of the family members we trust. If we think its already a big money and you invested alot on it then therr should be someone who needs to know where your money going just in case something happens for it to not be wasted. But it will be better if you will be enjoying that investment for yourself once it gain profits. Try to diversify it also and not to put all only in one wallet to lessen problems if you overshared your seed.

There should be at least somebody that should know that you own crypto and the location where you store your seed.
This is because if something happens unfortunately or in case of emergency the other person should know the location so that he can access it on your behalf.
If I were married, I would probably tell my wife the location of my seed and then gradually teach her about crypto.
A person should definitely know how important it is and how to keep it secure before we give them the access to our seed.

I am a man and have been married for 7 years and have 1 child aged 6 years. and my wife also knows that I often put money in to buy bitcoin and hold it until the bitcoin price reaches ATH.
and several times every time the bitcoin price reaches ATH I get profits and my wife knows too. after that he decided he wanted to learn about investing in bitcoin and I taught him from the beginning until he really knew how to buy and store on his own cold wallet.

why my wife and I are so brave to exchange seed phrases? because my wife and I both maintain a commitment to trust each other and maintain mutual trust for the good of my family and the future of my children.
because my goal and my wife investing in bitcoin is to pass it on to my children when they grow up.
Another reason my wife and I exchange seed phrases is because if one day something happens (sick or dies) someone will know where my seed phrase is and know how to access it.

so for me sharing the seed phrases with our own partners is fine as long as we maintain mutual commitment and maintain trust.

Even before I got married to my wife, she already knew most of my passwords and even my seed phrase to my wallet. It is just in case of an emergency someone who I trust knows how to access my accounts. Marriage is built with trust, and I do not see any problem sharing seed phrases with your partner. I know someone who passed away due to cardiac arrest that even his wife or anyone from his family knows his seed phrase or how to access his wallet, all his crypto savings had gone to waste because of this.
