I'm really relieved by Tsitsipas' being eliminated. Because I would have been very sad if I fell behind just because of my lack of attention. There are 3 questions left to break the tie between Slissy and me. In case I don't win I would lose my chance for the championship.
Personally I'm against this - it simply isn't 'natural' in sport and we feel that the cup rewards are attractive enough - it's 4mBTC and a kit for the winner.
It also creates logistical issues. You have to reserve that spot in the Div1 then, but what if a team from Div1 wins it? Finalist goes? What if both finalists are from Div1?
What if a team from Div1 that is getting relegated wins it? Or a team from Div2 that is getting promoted?
It gets even more crazy - what if a Div1 team that is getting relegated and a Div2 team that is getting promoted are in the final and a team from Div1 wins?
If we put it all in the rules, all our heads would keep spinning forever
We're fairly certain that the Cup will remain in current format - with attractive rewards but simple to understand.
We know that the path from Div3 to Div1 looks long and tough, but we'll have both the Cup and special promos to keep it fresh and potentially rewarding even for those that aren't playing in the top leagues.
As cup champions get a chance to join the European Cup a recommendation like this came to my mind. However you are absolutely right here.
