This depends on your plan, are you planning to convert them on an instant basis upon receiving those Bitcoin payments or do you just want to hold them until you can and wants directly to go with a hardware wallet or cold storage?

It's a really good idea that you chose to introduce Bitcoin payment in your business as well as a way of promoting Bitcoin in your area. I have my own business, where I also accept Bitcoin payments. I usually don't leave payments I accept in Bitcoin because of price volatility; after receiving payment in Bitcoin, I usually convert to fiat currency and only keep my profit in Bitcoin. But that's your decision to make; Bitcoin volatility is also good for the business some times, because if the price of Bitcoin is going high, then you will definitely be making more profit added to the profit you made from your sales.

Also, to gain customers willing to pay in bitcoin, you should post an official notice in your business premises and make some advertisements on social media. You can also make stickers and give them to your customers to stick to their cars at will. that will get you more exposure.

Somehow' its always you beginners [Newbies - Members] that are always having these contracts that wishes to pay in bitcoin or someone just started accepting bitcoin in their firm or someone just convinced his or her boss to be paid and even pay the rest of them staff in bitcoin. I still won't be surprised to see someone convince his nation's government to start paying its civil staff in bitcoin.

This generic thread of having to do this and that with bitcoin is becoming too much. If i don't know any better, i'll take it that y'all are just lying. Mind you, trust is a lot of things on the forum and y'all could be given a neutral tag for insincerity in this manner ans posting what your not fully interested in constitutes as spam.

Congratulation first. It is a great step and I think it is an effective and unique one. A gas station is a place where people always come and pay regularly. Also you make your customers life easier with bitcoin payment, now they don't need wait for the changes or find their wallet to pay. They can pay the bill by scanning a QR code if you have one for bitcoin payment. But if you don't put a QR code along with bitcoin address people got demotivated, because people will find it uncomfortable to type all the characters of bitcoin wallet at a gas station.

Also I want to see some pictures of your gas station and how you implement or encourage people to pay with bitcoin.

I agree with you maybe the OP need to add a few options to pay using Bitcoin and Lightning Network.
The lightning network can help you because the transaction fee is very cheap it's just around 1 satoshi while bitcoin's average transaction fee based on ycharts is around 2k satoshis

If I were you I will not want to accept Bitcoin as a payment in my business, imagine there are 5 consumers want to buy fuel and there's an one who interested to pay with Bitcoin, so he ask me when there's no more customers.

I will explain about Bitcoin, tell them to buy Bitcoin and use it etc, but there's no financial gain for myself lol. I'd rather to learn a new skill to earn more money rather than explain to stranger and not get anything.
