Why do i get the feeling this question almost feels like one of those questions of which one came first the chicken or the egg  Roll Eyes

Anyway, as far as I know and believe, you need experience to acquire knowledge and not the other way round...a reason why people  at a work place doing the same job for several years will be paid more money than the newbies,  because the value  is in the experience which has broadened the knowledge base inturn. It only gets bad after all the years and expected knowledge someone shows no knowledge or expertise in the field then their is a problem and in such a scenario knowledge > experience.

Experience first, knowledge later? This sounds paradoxical to me and is the opposite of what we're doing. Just like when you grow up and start going to school, you need to have knowledge in school before you graduate to gain experience. How will you work when you have no knowledge, let alone gain experience?
In your example: an experienced person is someone who has knowledge and has worked for many years. Not that they only have experience without knowledge, I have not seen anyone with experience without knowledge.
