Bitcoin is a currency that can be accepted for payments of goods and services. Which currency is stable? Some currencies are more unstable than Bitcoin. There are already universities/ colleges that accept Bitcoin as tuition fees. Examples are
University of Nicosia, Cyprus
European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) Berlin, Germany
The Kings College, New York, USA
The University of Cumbria, UK
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland
FPT University, Vietnam
Varna University of Management, Bulgaria
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Business School (IEBS), Spain
Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, South Africa
https://massmediang.com/list-of-universities-that-accept-bitcoin-for-tuition/I would have been surprised if I didn't see an American or British university which doesn't accept BTC/crypto payments.
BTC is money and it is gaining customers everyday. Those who get to learn about cryptocurrency by investing in altcoins, still refer BTC when they want to accumulate cryptocurrency for future use.
The regulation that is facing most countries before they use crypto currency for payments is the only nod needed by institutional bodies before they start accepting BTC for tuition payments from college students. It would be a while before more institutions set up their payment portals to accept crypto currency for payments of tuitions. It's quite plausible in the nearest future, but it may be until the lawsuits and SEC regulators conclude on their percentage from transaction cost and network fees.
