Interesting to hear this, but I don't think they have to make a change on their name, which to me it's just the removal of the prefix "Micro" from the full name Microstrategy, because people have been used to their name and it has a unique identification among other brands names, "Strategy" from here also talks about how they have advanced from being a micro holder through their strategy to a big.
Not really, I think the change of name has more to do with the change of strategy. The original name was given when the company was a business intelligence software and somehow competed with companies like Microsoft. Today that part of the business is minuscule compared to the big part of the business that is the issuance of bitcoin derivative products, such as common stock, convertible debt or MSTY for those looking for an income. Hence the removal of the Micro from the name, besides the fact that correctly spelled it is Strategy
BTC.
If that's the case then wouldn't it has been much preferably conceived if the prefix "micro" wasn't totally removed with only Strategy, but with just a modification from micro to macro, as in "macro-strategy", since they're the largest hodlers of bitcoin, imo macro would have fitted just fine with the Strategy. And not to mention how often their
stock's price has had to align with bitcoin price movement in recent time.
