What people really don't want to talk about is that cryptocurrency enabled ransomwere, because it's a global and private payment method which is perfect for hackers to receive payments from victims. Bank transfers or PayPal are not global, they have security checks for large transactions, they can freeze accounts or transactions and accounts need to be registered with government id.
