It doesn't matter if the thread has been since last year, what actually matters is that if the thread is still active and it's already obvious that the thread is active as people are still running the Bitcoin node that help the Bitcoin network get more stronger. And from the requirements, I believe you can also run a node if you are interested. I also did run the Bitcoin node and have completed the 14 days challenge. However, as long as you have 30 activities and 50 posts you can the 14 days node challenge.
