People should also learn to be independent of Google, your search contents are personalized and because they are known for adverts, they will surely bring you one or two Bitcoin adverts or websites fake ads that you may not expect and since they are lazy to carry out personal research on the adverts and money they collected, people fall victims to those adverts as they are usually full of scam. This is why they don't accept Bitcoin ads but because they accept some exchange adverts, scammers do use the advantage to phish aor clone a fake one with fake address.

If we are talking about phishing emails or emails that have malicious malware, then it is best to do prevention. If you have email apps, then turn on your email filter, which will automatically distinguish those emails that look suspicious and dump them in the trash or spam sections of your email. I'm sure all email applications have those features, because that's the feature that is most important in order to protect their users from unwanted and malicious emails that may scam or hack people. Truly, the age of bitcoin right now is at its peak. Is there less than $2k left before bitcoin reaches its ATH, or will it surpass it? We never know, so until then, protect your assets at all costs because there are many lurking there to get and steal all your hard-earned profits and assets. Remember,  prevention is better than anything else, so better secure all your accounts that are connected to crypto currency.

Scams are everywhere. Whether online of offline, you have to secure your investment 100% so that they won’t see any holes that will give them hints to steal your coins. And curiosity sometimes might be misleading. Don’t be deceived with different emails and try to open them, it will create immediately an access to your investment that will lead them to steal your bitcoins. As much as possible, have a separate phone for your personal email account and another phone for your bitcoin wallet. So that even if your email account will be hacked, at least your bitcoin wallet will not be put into danger.

What kind of email provider are you using? I use Gmail and I barely get any suspicious looking phishing emails. All of them end up in the Spam folder anyway. It's funny that the scammers are working harder when the Bitcoin price is high. The smarter decision for them would be accumulating more BTC when the price is low and keep HODLing until it hits a new ATH. I'm expecting another big exchange making a big exit scam, while claiming that it got hacked by some mysterious "hackers". This might lead to a BTC price correction, but we aren't in 2017 anymore and the bull run might continue.

If you are investing such a high amount, then it’s obvious that you need to be extra careful to manage the investments. Always double check the emails before clicking on any links. Move your coins to hardware or offline wallets rather than storing in exchanges and at last don’t invest in ponzi schemes which provides multiplication of investment due to the rise in price of the coins. You just need to open your eyes and observe with full determination, in this manner only you can be saved from scams.

I don't think that's an issue antivirus can solve. Malware don't just happen on our systems/devices. Before getting an antivirus for our device we've to first be the security we seek outside and that's where your second advice comes in. It's a notable thing to do and I think newbies (maybe some old members too) should pay attention to that. Don't click on every link sent to you. Be sure of the source first before exercising your fingers on the keyboard. Be weary of anyone hastening you up to do one task or the other or even an investment. Once you spot any level of impatience with them, that's when you should slow down. Don't allow anyone hurry you up in this space. That's one of the weak links scammers like to explore.

yeah, and it's now getting worse because the verified check mark now can be purchased by anyone, people used to be able to recognized a public figure from that verified checkmark. All that being said, I guess if anyone has enough knowledge and experience they would know that anything that is too good to be true would definitely be a scam.
