Firstly if your transaction is giving the information unpaid then it hasn’t been broadcasted that either you mistakenly click save instead of pay. But since you said there is a memepool fee error might meant that the server you’re connected to has a minimum of fee set above that which you pay. There is a an icon at the bottom that allows you to change sever to any one but I wouldn’t advise that rather you should increase your transaction fee instead. Check https://mempool.space/ for the fee estimation.

Then go back to send icon again click on the unpaid transaction and you will see pay click it and then it will take you to fee rate adjustment then adjust it to the right one and then confirm your payment and it will show on the history few seconds later as unconfirmed.

If it still persists then use the change severe and change your server or just log out of the electrum wallet and login back in again. This should solve your problem

It means you're paying fees to low, I assume the unpaid status because you send below the purging rates, it's either you wait until the fees drop and your wallet/other nodes to rebroadcast your transaction or you can create a new transaction with higher fees. If you have more coins, you can bump your transactions as long as the RBF enabled.

In electrum wallet RBF is enabled by default.

If it is because you use to low fee, and that is why your transaction is having issues, when the fee drops, your transaction will rebroadcast automatically, and by then, you can go and increase the transaction fee. You will see a message on your transaction telling you to bump the fee, just click on bump fee, and adjust the transaction fee from there.

The OP should have found a solution and the transaction may have been completed.
I also often experience this kind of problem because I missed the required gas fee and finally below the recommended gas fee.

But usually it will appear automatically on the gas fee that has been suggested or can be raised higher,
and the RBF system in Electrum is active by default without any more settings.

The lesson from this incident is not to be too hasty in making transactions, see and observe if everything is correct before pressing the send button.
If the network is congested enough, you only need to increase the gas fee or stick with the medium gas fee and wait for a longer time.

I assume you are talking about adjusting the fees while broadcasting the transaction and if that's the case then more right you move towards then the fee will be higher and expect faster confirmation. To avoid this confusion just select the mempool not ETA, not Static and set the fee for 0.80 mb from the tip.

You don’t need to adjust the dial, the reason is most probably the amount you are trying to send is like the total amount and either you have left very little for the transaction fee which is below the required minimum fee of the server you’re connected to or nothing at all. Just reduce the amount you want to send and leave just enough to cover for the fee rate it should go through. Check the links for fee estimation to know when they will drop.


If the OP waits till the fee has dropped, he will have to broadcast the transaction manually himself because the wallet just saved it as an invoice. RBF wouldn’t also work here because the transaction hasn’t even be broadcasted yet.


What you meant is transaction fee and not gas fee; which is associated with Altcoins, some newbies might mixed it up. As for the RBF it is only possible if the transaction has been broadcasted with low fees and it’s pending or uninformed. But this one still looks like a saved invoice.


Wait OP are you using the wallet with seed or private key. Hope it is not a watch only wallet because that’s how it will save the transaction till you send it to where it will be signed (non-watch only wallet) and then broadcasted

Stop calling it the gas fee because you're confusing readers by using the wrong terminology.  There is no concept of "gas" on the Bitcoin network. Fees associated with Bitcoin transactions are simply called network fees or transaction fees.

I don’t think you have actually been reading the other members replies because I still don’t get it. You cannot get a transaction ID for a transaction that hasn’t be broadcasted. The unpaid transaction is just like an invoice you created because the fee you use is way below the minimum fee rate of the sever you’re connected to. Also the network wouldn’t automatically pick that transaction themselves you will have to broadcast it your self. Check the replies on the thread again and adjust your fee or if it is the total balance in the wallet reduce the amount you will send and leave that which will cover for the fees
