Look how the number of created altcoins has increased in recent years. It is not a fact that we will see the altcoin season in the usual form, because liquidity in the crypto market is limited, which means that only tokens/coins of really necessary projects will grow in price. Those who invested in altcoins will be waiting for profits if the prices go up during peak of Bitcoin bull season. Altcoins sometimes are the ones crashing the market, from your chart it says 7 million altcoins and all of them have investors generating profits to founders of the altcoins, out of the 7 millions altcoins give it in a few months more than half of those altcoins will not exist, a rough estimate can tell how much funds will be lost in altcoins if only it were redirected towards Bitcoin then price movement will become better.
I have shared the stage with friends who do altcoins, they buy their altcoins now since Bitcoin hasn't reached ATH hoping that their altcoins get correlated with Bitcoin during bull run, sometimes it fails and it's always hard for those altcoins to remain in the market, most times they crash later on.
