Grading: You would have to ship the coin to PCGS or hand off in person at one of the coin shows they attend, but they would still have to ship the coin back to you
              If you used ICG, you can go in-person to them for drop-off and pick-up, but would still physically have to get to ICG which may incur travel expenses.

Selling: Would be the same as grading... better if you can do in person so as to not have to ship/mail the coin

At this price point it is seemingly no longer a good idea to ship coins for whatever reason unless you are ok with potentially loosing a $60k+ coin
Also, there is no postal insurance that will cover digital values

Probably recommend peeling and redeeming the coin and then sell/auction off the carcass

Less risk - less problems - and I’d suspect you’d get more $$$ as well

That’s because stacks gets all the premium. 20% buyers premium so seller loses out, 10% sales tax approx - and isn’t it $500 delivery on items over 25k (something like that)

I would assume those would have sold here for 1.2 btc or more as a fair ask. But still the logistics of getting it delivered

Agreed. Looking at 1BTC based on recent sales.

The OTOH collection at Heritage sold around 1BTC including premium.

To help maintain history, if you get it graded I’d pay a hair over 1BTC.

How much of a hair? Lol. Just want to make sure the cost and effort of trying to get it graded is worth it. I'm sure you understand. It's been in an air tight seal in my safety deposit box since about 2014 I think. I do like the idea of keeping it in tact and loaded as a piece of history. I would have liked to do that if I could afford to.
