I also think that Bitcoin won't hit $100k this year, if we look at the 4-year cycle pattern of BTC, it should be hitting $100k next year (2025) together with making another record of new ATH  before it transitions to the bear market.  With the development of Bitcoin in each country, I think the positive regulation would bring more people to the Bitcoin economy, and if the network congestion problem is solved, I believe Bitcoin will reach a new height of success.

That is what the market looks like, as for some time ago when we had a little bull season which made it look like hitting $100k is not much of a problem, now we see how difficult it is even for the market to maintain it's price at $60k, this clears all assumptions if truly Bitcoin will cross $100k, the charts and price movements doesn't guarantee the price of Bitcoin to reach such level. We must try to remain positive, can't stay forever on this declined market definitely we are going to raise a new ATH other than what we have as of now.

I believe that blockchain technology is an innovative solution for p2p transactions and inflation-proof store of value.

I'm unsure of the origins or whether there is any backdoor in the encryption algorithms, but overall blockchain tech itself is sound.

It will continue to be useful as long as the internet is around, which I hope is a long time.

 It seems like crossing $100k this year is not happening this year very quickly in my opinion. But Bitcoin is something that is accompanied by a volatile nature where there is no stability in price during an increase or decrease in the market, And Bitcoin will certainly grow much more in the future and encourage everyone who tends to be involved in Investing in Bitcoin, Bitcoin is one thing that is very interesting in my personal perspective of course.


 One very interesting achievement from me for you. where you know Bitcoin for such a long period of time, it seems like you are one of the Investors who already have quite a long flying hours in the world of Investment especially in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is very likely to go upside soon. September is coming, and many investors are confident Bitcoin is going to enter a new bullish trend from that moment on until December or even the first months of the next years. I believe in a new ATH which has potential to push Bitcoin above 100,000$, although it's not a guarantee, since we have never crossed the 73,738$ mark. Before talking about 100,000$, Bitcoin still has to hit 80,000$ and 90,000$, which aren't easy achievements at all, considering they have never happened before.

Anyway, I feel optimistic and confident about Bitcoin on short run (next year). There are also some other factors to influence Bitcoin price right now, especially US elections, which can boost Bitcoin or not, depending the results.

I will answer based on the title and what OP says.  What I REALLY hope and want is Bitcoin being the future, so my opinion about it is very positive for now.  It provides the Freedom no Third Party can.  I can use it how ever I like.  I do not have to be afraid of Banks closing my Accounts, my Cards being stolen, Law Enforcement seizing anything.  Those Coins are mine and mine only, which obviously gives a sense of relief.

The future of it is kind of foggy in my opinion.  Simply because the World does seem to be shifting toward a much more supervised World where Privacy and Freedoms are very limited to nonexistent.  So take what ever you want from that.  It may or may not be what we were hoping for, it may or may not be the solution to such a World.  Maybe it is not.  Maybe it will end up dying out at one point.  But again, with no efficient crystal ball we have no foreseeable future other than what we already hear and see every day.  Governments are definitely not happy about Bitcoin still surviving, they are not happy about Cash still being an option for us.

Bitcoin is to me the isolation from the World that I never thought I would need until I found Privacy was a thing I REALLY need to take care of and think about.  Now obviously, there are so many ways Bitcoin is being attacked from multiple sides and angles.  But it still shows strength.

I would say more, but I would need to write so many rows of text that nobody would be interested in reading anyway.  Bitcoin is extremely helpful for me.  I am afraid for the future of the World, but with it there is honestly still a little bit of hope.

You from 2012 have already talked about it and somehow this present time is the future that you have never thought of. It is for sure that the near future of Bitcoin will be more amazing than in the past and as you can see, many adoptions have happened already. Bitcoin is no doubt in a good shape, I am not thinking of it that it will be in a bad shape or so because it's always been good regardless of the market situation.

We will be there soon and $100k is halfway there so, that's the price that we're all waiting for, and no matter what happens this is the current bull run and dips could come. But you have to ignore that if you're looking forward to meeting $100k soon. Do not get frowned by the market swings because they are essential to happen.

I think the reason why everyone is expecting bitcoin to reach 100k before the year ends is because we saw bitcoin reach a new ath before even the halving event. So everyone is expecting more surprises but is that new ath the only surprise for the year or we can really reach 100k this year? No one knows.

The early days must have been something else, especially with BTC at such a low price back then.

I completely agree that BTC is in a strong position right now, and the idea of it crossing 100k+ doesn't seem too far-fetched. Personally, I believe that Bitcoin still has a lot of potential left to unlock, especially as more people and institutions start to recognize its value.
