This scenario is contradictory, if that happens to be me, I will not retired when is not time for me to be retired, I will work and enjoy my working service until the proposed month and year for me to be retired, I can't make a such mistakes volunteering retirement when I have some years ahead that will fetch me some future money, because I know that the one I had already can be use as long term investment provided, and the future one, which more years and months that's remaining in my service can be use as sustainable and maintenance levie for me.

Remember that money we have in bitcoin, can neither decreases or increases, you can decide to withdraw yourself from long running job because the money at hand and the decrement in bitcoin affect it unknowingly, its obvious that you will be at lost, so we don't need to think one-sided but think versatile because of future effects.

The rules that apply in the US are not the same as those in other countries. If this applies to me, I will take early retirement and work another job without having to be burdened with that job.
At least I will work until I am 40 years old and the following year I will enjoy the results of the investment I made. I will not wait until the retirement deadline arrives. The assumption is, I work for old age. If at an age that is not considered very old I already have wealth of that amount, I will not continue working or choose to retire early.
The amount of 15 million US dollars is very large by my standards.

That amount of money is really huge in my local currency, if I can have that amount of bitcoin with me, I will just resign from the job that I am doing instantly, I will just start relaxing and enjoying my money with my family members, and I will have to establish a business, so that I will be using the profits that I am making from the business to take care of my family members, and I will still be holding some of the bitcoin. At least I will be leaving some bitcoin for my children, I don’t have to spend everything. But if I have that amount of money, I can’t be working under anyone, I will be the boss, and I will be able to do anything I like at any time.

Alot of people are now switching over to bitcoin investment as a retirement plan for themselves in the future. Being able to save up such worth of bitcoin will be a great achievement for them, including myself.

With such amount of bitcoin, the only thing that will make me still work is if I have passion for my job, this might make me still stick around till my official retirement age. 15 million dollars worth of bitcoin is indeed a huge amount, but it also takes a person with financial discipline to manage that money efficiently. Those who lack that attribute might start spending lavishly with the hope that 15 million dollars worth of bitcoin is too much to get exhausted. Anyone with such worth of bitcoin should know himself better if he can manage his investment well.

Bitcoin! Also you dont have to sell all 15 Bitcoin now, sell it as you need to and
in the mean time the rest can be rising in value! I wouldnt even bother selling
even half, 1 Bitcoin at a time or even 0.5, but you have to be smart about it because
you can only sell it once!

I have heard of people who worked till they were 65 and sometimes longer because
they couldnt afford to retire and within 2 years of stopping work they had passed away!

You are right people who have businesses that are successful today has undergo many process being difficulty in business or either one time failure and they bounces back to their stands were they currently are now, so those who don't own a business do not know what it takes to put up a growing business over the years and then retirement on their success when the business has stood better than previous.

A person's success in running a business is certainly not something that can be easily achieved and also to be able to achieve success, of course they must struggle through all the obstacles that exist and also be able to rise from the failures they experience because not everyone can survive failure in the business they run, but when they are able to get through their difficult times in building a business, of course they will be able to achieve the success they expect and what you said is true, those who have never run a business are of course difficult for them to be able to understand well the challenges faced by every businessman until they can achieve success and also be able to retire according to their wishes because they have a business that has been running well so they can enjoy the results of their hard work.

I like the idea but it's absurd how some people are money addicted such that whether they got so much in Bitcoin or not, they still aspire for more regardless of their retirement dividends too. If I'm to get such huge amounts in Bitcoin I'll rather retire early and save myself from long stress, cause with the said 15 million worth of Bitcoin it can cover for my retirement dividends as well but people with different perspective but I think it's better of to retire at a very convenient age than late, let's say 40 thereabouts is okay for one having such huge assets in Bitcoin to retire.

As far as I know , the median household income in the United States is $80,000 and people who own more than $1 million are called millionaires ,  and according to statistics , people who own over 1 million dollars account for about 15 million people . OP is one of them .

It is true that life in America is quite expensive compared to many other countries but in reality it is not as expensive as we think , we do not need to have millions of dollars to be able to survive there . So if OP really owns $15 million then he is also considered a very wealthy person in the US  .
If all his assets were in bitcoin and if he could hold until bitcoin hit $100k , how much money would he have ?  He really needs a retirement plan .

Not everyone has the same risk appetite towards what we are dealing especially if we think about long term with bitcoin. So if you really trust it and could able to spend that money then take the risk.

But if that amount is the only thing you have and losing that money will make you broke then think about more better since your future is at stake there. Maybe what I can recommend to you is don't go all in with bitcoin so that if unexpected situation happen you still have money to use. Also make sure to invest your money on other thing since putting all of it in one basket might create a problem in future. So better think about multiple sources to live a comfortable life when you are at retirement stage. If your asking about what age you should retire then again you are the one can answer that since you can determine if you are ready to retire or not.
