I would say Bitcoin has exceeded my expectations because in the beginning I knew Bitcoin is a very volatile and prices cannot be predicted accurately 100 percent so to now see my portfolio worth a lot more than when I bought my first bitcoins gives me so much joy.

Everyone experience is not the same, it will surprise you that, we still have some old members of this forum who still struggle to hold a fraction of bitcoin for long period of time without exchanging them to meet one life responsibility or the others, such forum old timers can not have experience of what you are saying, but on another hand we may still have a newbies who entered into the space with the last two years and are able to accumulate enough bitcoin that have place them on a stable financial condition and freedom which is what bitcoin is all about.


So for someone like me, u may have spent few month's and year in this community but I have been aggressive in my bitcoin accumulation, and I hardly will spend out of my bitcoin holding which is what help's my total accumulated bitcoin.

As far as the price is concerned, it has exceeded my expectation, a lot. When I first purchased Bitcoin, the price was much cheaper, less than a thousand, around $500. Never in my wild yet optimistic imagination that it would even hit $10,000. But then it even reached $20,000 just a little more than a year later. Today, it's above $71,000.

But as far as my idealistic imagination of a decentralized online money is concerned, it hasn't met my expectations. When I first tried to understand Bitcoin, I was thinking of a revolutionary internet currency. But I was made to realize very early how this isn't that easy to happen because of transaction fees.

Honestly I didn't put any expectation in Bitcoin, even though I invest a lot, like 80% of my salary in Bitcoin.

It's good to see Bitcoin price rise from $20K to $70K, but I don't have a lot money to invest all at once, instead I DCA-ing. The average return is close to 2x from the amount I've invested, it's a good return, but it still not able to change my life.

I know Bitcoin is one of safest investment that perform better than other assets, but I feel it's still not enough.

Yes. Even from before and I saw my money grow even just a little bit really justified my decision to buy bitcoin. Up until now despite many corrections and fud going around, I never doubted continuing holding my bitcoin. I saw progress, I saw results and I am confident that I will continue to see results in the future as well.

As of now, I am very happy with my holdings of course if I could I’d buy more but right now my plan is to just keep holding

Honestly, it went way beyond what I expected. When I first got into Bitcoin, I had doubts too..I couldn’t help but think it might just be another Ponzi scheme. Back then, I was new and only knew what I read from other people's comments, without really understanding how Bitcoin worked. But once I got to understand the system, that’s when I felt more confident about holding it.

I have cashed out some of my holdings, though....not everything, just enough to enjoy the bull run a bit. And I’m probably gonna cash out a bit more soon; just waiting for Bitcoin to hit $100k, and then I’m good. The thing is, no one holds long-term without enjoying some profit. Even though I’ve cashed out a little, I know I’ll buy again once the bear market is back. For me, it’s all just part of the cycle - that’s my mindset on how it works. But in the big picture, I understand Bitcoin is going up.

For me, yes, I learned a lot when I started to own Bitcoin, it's not only the investment returns I gained, but with lessons on how money works, and how the financial system works and I started to value money or budget things on me.
Bitcoin for me is not only for investment but overall, although most people are only in Bitcoin because of profits or easy money and some of them are losing money because of some greediness.

I wasn’t expecting much at first, but seeing how bullish everyone was in the forums, I just went along with the hype. Since I stayed active here, Bitcoin helped me dive into the whole crypto market, and it really opened my eyes to all the opportunities out there. Most of my investments are in Bitcoin, but I can't deny that I made some good profits with altcoins back then too - it just boosted my gains to levels I never imagined before getting into Bitcoin.

I’m proud to be among the semi-early adopters. I started in 2016 when Bitcoin was still pretty cheap (was around $400) compared to now, and 2017 was the first bull run I experienced... I’ll never forget that.

Yes, the expectations are meeting the demand, I would say 
Nothing wrong goes with BTC, and with the knowledge from the forum and great forum members, it becomes obvious what truly makes BTC so special.
