Same as former Bitcoin developer Mike Hearn which called Bitcoin "a failed experiment". Where is he now? Probably alone, regretting his decision to leave the Bitcoin project as the cryptocurrency reached new ATHs. If we would've listened to the naysayers, we would've missed a huge chance for profit by now. Demand for Bitcoin continues to rise, so don't count on its "death" anytime soon.
You don't know the history behind this. Most people have very ulterior motives when they say negative things about Bitcoin. Their statements are not based on rational analysis of the situation. Hearn tried to take control of Bitcoin and implement some horrible things. When it got exposed and rejected, he started trash talking it. Pathetic individual.
Despite Bitcoin's success, there will always be people who criticize it. They will never be satisfied. It's time to ignore the FUD and continue to support Bitcoin for the long term.
It was always time to ignore the FUD. Good criticism and an analysis of downsides and risk is always welcome, but they don't even represent 1% of the negative statements or news around BTC.
Before you know it, BTC will be so big that it will replace Gold as the world's ideal store of value. Possibly even Fiat, too. The future is full of surprises, so expect the unexpected.
Go back 2-4 cycles and ask how many people believe if BTC will reach $100k. Very few, many would say definitely no. I think many underestimate it today, and look where it has come. It needs to do another 10x to just overtake gold. How long do gold ETFs exist? How many countries and institutions hold and offer gold? We are at the very beginning.
