This is it:
The central bank wrote:
The evolution of digital platforms and digital payment instruments that promote anonymity of transactions present an opportunity for money laundering in the financial sector.
I always think that if there is no cryptocurrencies, four things can not be eliminated in this life except people only change. They are:
- money laundry
- terrorism
- abduction and
- banditry
The government will not talk about banditry because not cryptocurrencies that are used but paper fiat which is very anonymous. Once the kidnappers collected the money, it can not be traced. They do not deal with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies but deal with fiat.
The bank talks about money laundering. Most money are still laundered through the use of fiat and the business people think is legit are used for it. If the source of the money is not known, the money will be in bank or somewhere else in fiat and the government will do nothing. I do not know why government should be talking about money laundering when talking about cryptocurrencies but not talking about money laundering when talking about fiat which is mostly used for money laundering.
The bank talks good about cryptocurrencies but I do not like the cons that was included which is money laundering.
I think, I know where it all goes. I think that governments try to beef with people, they claim false claims about how cryptocurrencies are evil and how they are used for money laundering, which pushes people to protect cryptos and tell them counter arguments, like, arguments against fiats, how they are used for money laundering and so on. I believe that in the end, it leads governments to have more arguments to support CBDCs. It will give them total control over everyone's money and the governments will say that they'll fix the issue of money laundering and terrorism but we all know that nothing will be fixed, there will only be more control over people and more power for them.
