Since Bloomberg requires paid subscription, I'll share exactly the same article but posted on a different website:
https://www.malaymail.com/news/opinion/2014/01/01/bitcoin-is-a-high-tech-dinosaur-soon-to-be-extinct-stephen-mihm/590775I think that it will be good if OP edits the post with this link.
Those Who think bitcoin is a bubble or it's about to extinct is because they doesn't understand the nature of blockchain. They don't understand how It was created to survive, and if there is a node running the blockchain will keep walking.
And that's terrible. People, who don't understand subject A, speak about subject A. They shouldn't talk about subject A if they don't understand it but it's far worse when
economic gurus talk about this subject. I really wish to see these people affected by their wrong predictions but sadly, it doesn't happen.
There were many people that talked bad about bitcoin in the past. Even Michael Saylor was one of them. He talked about bitcoin before he later realized that bitcoin is not what he thought it was. He later knew bitcoin is the currency of the future. I will not be surprised to see something like this in 2013 but all of them have seen where bitcoin has gotten to.
Yes, that's true. I think that it's normal to see pessimistic predictions when something is brand new but overall, I believe that when you call yourself an expert, you should be 100 times more careful with every word you say about the subject you are expert in.
11 years ago I didn't know what Bitcoin was and I regret that I was playing video games instead of being interested in programming and cryptocurrencies but a few years ago I understood that it's an innovation, it's the future and now I'm in a right place.
