I have never done anything like this because I believe it is better to hold than to spend something with bitcoin and perhaps in my own country the use of the card to transact with bitcoin directly is still quite limited. I think it really depends on the situation because for me bitcoin is much more ideal for storing than buying things with it. I believe bitcoin will grow in the future so it would be a shame to use it to buy things with it.

The level of vulnerabilities in the usage may still need to be refined so that people can use the card for purchasing. My question is how much bitcoin do you have that spending things with it becomes something that is more important to do or maybe you are just testing a few of these cards.

This is basically using fiat for purchasing stuff, and you just automate the selling of your BTC to a centralized platform that already has your Bitcoin.

A better way to use your sats is to use lightning with a card, like Bolt Card, or a similar one. You can pay with your card in-store by tapping, and it connects directly to your own wallet, and uses your sats from your storage. No third party needed, no dirty fiat conversion.

It is something new for me to make daily purchases using Bitcoin, especially since it uses crypto debit cards. Unfortunately, in my area there is still no support to do so, maybe Bitcoin has officially become an investable asset in my area, but unfortunately it is still not allowed or not yet allowed to make purchases like what OP did. If it is possible here, then I will imitate what you did too, for me it is quite impressive.

Is there any reason for us to use Bitcoin for everyday purchases? You have fiat money. Why don't you use fiat money and fiat debit/credit cards for everyday purchases? Won't you feel regrets for wasting BTC on purchases, when the BTC price goes to the moon?
I've used only one crypto debit card service. It was a prepaid virtual card service called Paywithmoon(it's not working anymore).
I've loaded the prepaid virtual VISA card with BTC and I used the card for an Amazon Web Services account and a Popup Advertising network called PopAds.net. There weren't any problems with the virtual card, but unfortunately Paywithmoon isn't offering a VCC service anymore. 

Banks or card issuers sometimes flag crypto related transactions as suspicious and have to go through manual approval to get them processed. It's frustrating because we are using our money but they will treat it like a red flag. I get that they have fraud prevention measures but it feels like an unnecessary hurdle when all we are doing is buying or transferring crypto

Got some few questions since Im interested with this card, bybit card is good they say I got a virtual card since I dont know how to get the bybit card it seems it requires some minimum task but when I checked it its so hard to attain the requirement.

Can I ask few stuff like, how about withdrawal to atms? Was it good? Also hows the deduction of assets from the card in case you got a lot of asset, example you had bitcoin and some stable usdc or usdt which crypto would be deducted first.

Check out their customer support and hit them a question bro, they will sort you out and give a prompt response, if that's the case, do you try crypto.com card elsewhere and it work? Maybe their card has conditions it has to meet before working, but not on every services.

Although, I haven't tried any crypto debit cards before, in my country, crypto is unregulated and can't be tied with bank transactions either. My question, do these crypto cards needs an integration with local bank server before it works?

For me I don’t like using bitcoin for daily transactions and my reasons aren’t because they actually would increase in price later but because of the transaction fees and I think for local transactions I see using fiat debit cards are actually cheaper and hassle free, as for cross boarder transactions which involves the change between two different fiat currencies I think bitcoin stands out. For me there is absolutely nothing wrong with using bitcoin for transactions, if you’re actually interested in using bitcoin as an investment then you will have that separate from these bitcoins which are on an hot wallet.


If you have passed the KYC of bybit and have been using the exchange for a while it is easier to get the virtual card from exchange because it is Your KYC details that will be used. I have forgotten the requirements but basically is something not that hard.

As for the payment the one I have encountered is the stablecoin (USDT to be specific) but I think if you have more than one asset on the card it depends on the option you picked from the payment dashboard you’re probably paying to. If it is BTC it will be BTC that will be withdrawn, if it’s other asset they will also be withdrawn too.

That's a pretty good experience buddy but maybe things like that still can't be done by everyone especially for some countries that still can't fully regulate bitcoin as a legal means of payment for now like in my country today.

Actually I would love to try at least for one time to do something like this but this might be a little difficult to do but if there is such an opportunity I would like to try to make purchases using the bitcoin I have even though it will not be someone who will do it continuously because honestly I still love the portopolio that I have and will only remain stored as investment material not for payment until now. But if there is an opportunity I want to do this just to try and add experience so that I have experienced transacting or buying something with the bitcoin that I have.
