Thank you for share your experience using Bitcoin debit card. I don't use my Bitcoin to buy something because I want to hold my Bitcoin and sell it in the high price. I don't want to buy something using Bitcoin and still prefer with fiat money or debit card so I don't break any law in my country.
If our government allow their citizen use Bitcoin for the payment system, they will try to use it to have a new experience. But if not, they will not do that and will keep their Bitcoin for some time. In that matter, it is better they invest their money in Bitcoin and not using Bitcoin for daily transaction.
But how is it different to sell your Bitcoin?
When you buy with this prepaid card what you are doing is literally selling a portion of the Bitcoin you have in that card, and then using that fiat to complete the transaction.
If that's illegal in your country, then "selling Bitcoin" would be as illegal as that.
And also, what really matters is in what you save, not with what you spend.
If you use fiat to buy something, then the opportunity cost would be the Bitcoin you could have bought with that fiat amount.
