If it was a newbie that did that search, I bet that the person will definitely end up choosing any of those wallets. Seem that Google have a problem with providing a valid result for searches that is concerning Bitcoin wallets alone. I remember searching for "Bitcoin decentralized wallets" On google but the results I got was "atomic wallet, uniswap, and the rest was just some exchange that I am not even family with and the other results were " Top 10 crypto wallet". I was specific to search for "BTC decentralized wallet" But yet they there was no result like that.
Like OP said, people need to be careful when doing research and they also need to verify their results with more than one source.
This forum should be promoted everywhere. Without this forum, lots of people can become a victim of wrong information and make huge mistakes in their life. If I was an average newbie, I'd follow the Google's advice and make a mistake.
I thought that since it was a typical search engine algorithm abuse, i.e. these companies did better SEO job with money and their resources, that's the reason why Google was suggesting these wallets but now I gave a try to Google's Gemini PRO, which uses advanced reasoning. What do you guys think, would Gemini give me a good answer with its advanced reasoning when I asked it what are the most secure Bitcoin wallets? It was 50/50. It suggested me to use Trezor Model T (it's normal answer), Ledger Nano X (terrible answer because we all saw how secure their chip is), Coldcard mk4 (Very good answer definitely), BitBox02 (I have no idea about this wallet to be honest and I'd love to hear from you, guys).
I was also expecting The Passport Foundation wallet but Gemini didn't mention it.
