In the event that AI and even robots are able to do most of the jobs we do and no new ones emerge, governments will have to consider a Universal Basic Income.

AI taking over jobs isn't an issue, that happens all the time. What matters is how AI could be dangerous by itself, if it is improved even more. I am not in support of keeping AI stalled, I wish for it to get better, but it is scary to think what it can do. I do expect one of the AI's in development to eventually come to same conclusion that "Ultron" kind of result, we will see it try to just destroy humanity because humanity is killing the world.

A matrix type of war between humans and robots type of deal. I am not saying that will happen anytime soon, maybe not in our lifetime neither but we are moving towards that trajectory without a doubt, so that means it could potentially do that one day. It is as simple as just figuring out how to fire one nuke, because if it can fire up only a single nuke, then the rest will be a total chaos.

AI agents are currently moving towards working like humans in many areas and in the future they may be able to manage various aspects of our daily lives in the digital world with greater efficiency. But while AI can help us a lot in our lives it is not yet capable of fully replacing humans. AI is still far behind in terms of creativity emotion social communication and moral decision making like humans. It can certainly become a part of our lives but it should never be considered fully human the development of AI and human cooperation can complement each other but AI is not a substitute for humans.

In some aspects, AI perform far better than humans, where AI has limitations is applying emotional intelligence in making decisions because it's not yet programmed to act based on emotions but facts and data sets. AI would only replace the jobs of average performers, the presence of AI has made life simpler for professionals including myself. I love AI and it helps in my work. The accuracy isn't yet very efficient, hence it needs close supervision and validation of professionals to achieve a higher efficiency with it.

Waiting for AI to fade away so that human involvements would prevail over it is a wishful thinking because the AI world is evolving with more features that are near human related and improving in it's efficiency. In the nearest future, AI would take over more of the jobs needing only those who upgraded themselves to work with it to manage and maintain it's operations.
