Wow - a lot to pick apart with the OP
The future of bitcoin is still not a stable one
What is a stable alternative?
Do we necessarily want Bitcoin to be stable?
theres a lot of controversies as to,as it has many regulation issues.
Most of us here dont necessarily care for regulation, Bitcoin is decentralised and by that goes
against regulation. Anyway Bitcoin itself cannot be regulated, how you convert FIAT to and from
Bitcoin can be.
Even the original founder of bitcoin,in fact, has left his position as it was headed in a direction that he did not intend(debatable).
Incorrect - Satoshi was fearful that the authorities would come down hard
on HIM/HER/THEM and so took the correct decision to disappear. Read Satoshi's farewell, Satoshi was
very happy with the direction Bitcoin was headed.
It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context. WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.
I've moved on to other things. It's in good hands with Gavin and everyone.
I do hope your BitcoinJ continues to be developed into an alternative client. It gives Java devs something to work on, and it's easier with a simpler foundation that doesn't have to do everything. It'll get critical mass when impatient new users can get started using it while the other one is still downloading the block chain.
The average consumer is not yet comfortable with the idea,or understand, the concept of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency.
Contrary to what some people think, Bitcoin will not become the one world currency, not everyone
saves money, not everyone thinks of their financial future, not everyone is financially educated.
In my opinion, cryptocurrency will be used in the (far) future as a secure way to transfer money,if it is endorsed by certain regulatory body.It will largely remain to the discretion of the buyer/seller,how they would like to proceed with bitcoin, for the time being.
Cryptocurrency is different to Bitcoin, Crypto is largely regarded as all other blockchain projects.
Bitcoin currently is very secure for transferring money. The weakest link is at both human ends,
the sender and receiver and how they decide to store their Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin network has never been hacked!
