Bitcoin is already global currency, it is accessible to everyone and can be accessed by anyone in any part of the world as long as internet connection is functional in that country.
I think the process has gone beyond gradual because Bitcoin is already versatile and has gone mainstream long time ago.

To be honest it may not seem as much but it's actually a nice move. Students are actually very enthusiastic when it comes to most things related to digital setups which is understandable since we are  in the digital era. To an extent this will actually help increase the drive of most students to venture bitcoin investments and the technical parts of it too.

Besides the ecosystem needs more enthusiasts and also people who are ready to gather enough technical knowledge, Since it would actually be difficult for hackers and scammers to trick people who are already properly informed about what the network is all about.

I would not be surprised if the owner of this school is an individual who is young and has an interest in bitcoins or an old individual who is exposed with an open mind and has no criticism against bitcoin but actually understand the concept behind it. I am happy that the school is using bitcoin for what it was meant for, to ease transactions across the border, Many schools in the region will likely follow this move so they can attract international customers too. I have one question though, do you think the school will also pay teachers in bitcoins?

I'm sure businesses paying people with Bitcoin have been reported multiple times in the past, so it isn't that rare. It depends on whether the employee accepts the deal or not. After all, forcing them to accept Bitcoin is not a wise choice, even if your goal is to increase adoption. Especially when the rate is way off.

The 1st thing that came to mind when I saw this news was that finally bitcoiners will be able to get a normal education. And will bitcoiners be able to pay for school lunches in bitcoins?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Because this news looks like another overhyped news to me. Because this event hasn't happened yet (it was only announced) and by autumn a lot can change if the regulator intervenes (or the price of bitcoin starts to fluctuate greatly and falls down, after which even this school will renounce its previous statements and announcements). Secondly, the local use of bitcoin as a means of payment for education has nothing to do with the global currency, because this is, I repeat, a local, not a global event.

Of course, such announcements inspire hope that the expansion of bitcoin is expanding, but in reality, these are only special cases that don't affect the role of the global currency. For this, completely different "institutions" must begin to recognize bitcoin.

This may look like a small initiative, but these small initiatives actually help Bitcoin reach more people. If at least a few new people learn about Bitcoin from this initiative, I think it will be successful. I would be very happy to know from schools if they had announced the reach of blockchain technology and privacy. This is more important today. Today's kids/students will run the world tomorrow.

I hope schools will focus more on ICT classes. They should teach their students about privacy, blockchain technology, and more so that they can judge technology like Bitcoin. Anyway, I appreciate their initiative. I hope more schools follow them.

this is definitely a good thing but we can also see why they decided to use bitcoin the school is a private international one which means most likely its students and their parents are loaded with money and are already well knowledgeable about investments and assets including one of bitcoin

you would find no public school offering bitcoin as payment since no one’s gonna use it anyway since most likely they are not aware of it

I read this news too and I was not very excited when they announced that they will accept bitcoin as payment but will immediately convert it to fiat (GBP) to minimize risk . Additionally, they also mentioned that in the future , tuition fees paid in bitcoin could be used to establish a bitcoin reserve for the school. This will be done with the consent of parents and the school . This shows that they tend to use bitcoin as a financial tool rather than just seeing it as a real payment method .

This is great news, but honestly? It's not exactly new anymore, if this had happened in Bitcoin's early days, we would've been celebrating like crazy. But nowadays, with Bitcoin being widely accepted and even legal in places like the UK, these kinds of announcements have become pretty standard.
