China already holds a significant amount of Bitcoin, so I don't think they would buy more if they're planning to dump it.
Says/speculates or claims who? Have I missed something all these years or has CP China really stated that it owns 200k BTC? I know there are people who still believe that Bulgaria has the same amount of BTC - but it seems to me that we are talking about things that have turned into myths and legends, not facts.
In my opinion, the best option for them would be to buy gold.
~snip~
An ingenious solution - besides the fact that China has under its control so many gold mines that it is not necessary to just buy gold, it is enough for them to mine it and fill their vaults.
It's not as simple as it seems, because as the article says, China has the ability to harm the US, but if it goes in that direction, it will harm itself as well. Simply put, China depends on the US and vice versa, and all this pressure from the US is just an attempt to reach agreements that will be more favorable to the US than they have been so far.
That's actually true but wasn't it too harsh attempt from the USA? I mean, when you show some respect, it's getting easier to achieve your favorable agreement but the USA choose a very harsh way and the way of showing power, then the China did the same and now it's clear that the USA is bluffing. Won't it be much hard for the USA to achieve a favorable agreement now? I think, it will be.
~snip~When you see who is leading the US today, there's not much logic in their actions, right? These people behave like arrogant thugs who agree on war plans through social networks and chat applications, and they are so
"intelligent" that they don't realize that they are being
"listened in" all the time by at least one journalist who doesn't even know how he got there.
What the world still respects today are the American weapons and eternal readiness for war - but as far as politics and leaning in that direction are concerned, there are fewer and fewer who will trust the US as reliable partners in the next four years. China knows this and will set its game that way - but China is not playing alone, it has Russia on its side.
This is why the US is so ingratiating itself with Russia that it's really painful to watch - because it will give them even 20% of someone's territory only if they cool their relations with China. Unfortunately for them, they will never watch that movie - the Chinese Communist Party and the autocratic regime in Moscow have always been and will always be close to each other.
