It might be a hype or not. However, the president said the country and if the country resources is put together, it will be bigger than what a state will have. So if Trump creating a crypto strategy reserve for US doesn't mean that it's all the state Governors that will accept to create crypto reserve for their state. If you look at it closely, US hasn't bought any crypto for their reserve since afterTrump proclaimed it. Trump vividly said that, US will use seized crypto asset as their reserve. Only that statement will discourage any state Governor to invest into bitcoin. But I believe that in a couple of years, US States Governor will buy the idea

Probably is true about what fillippone stated days ago about why these states delaying in the process of the bitcoin reserve bill. The statement of the AZ governor on bitcoin being an untested investment prompting the veto to the reserve bill explains so much how they are waiting on the federal government to key in before they can after getting a positive result from it.

But with what El Salvador government has actually benefited as profit from all the bitcoin they have been accumulating, isn't that a testament to countries or states that look towards bitcoin reserve?

in this case about bitcoin reserves, we can not expect that all governors have the same view on this bitcoin reserve. some are optimistic about it, but there are also those who are more careful to make a decision before adopting it. because unlike other countries where the autonomy of the central government is absolute, america has a system that allows for the division of power between the central government and the states, so that the states have quite a lot of authority in managing their own affairs.

but it should be that if other states have succeeded in adopting this bitcoin reserve, it will be a trigger for other states to follow their plans. it just takes time until the evidence of success is clear, and other governors will also consider passing the bitcoin reserve bill.

Then, when I saw this thread, it occurred to me that this might be a game between politicians, and on looking it up, I think it is indeed the case. Katie Hobbs is a Democrat, so I'm not so surprised. I hope the crypto lobbies work hard to make this a non-partisan issue by 2028.

I can't help but find it gross that people are cheering for governments to invest peoples retirements into cryptocurrencies or worse, AltStocks that milk would be Bitcoin investors (Which AZ I think has done regardless of this bill).

Bitcoin is still discovering itself.  It's a theory that is being tested with time.

I don't expect this to come sooner because it is something that can't be rushed up to avoid stupid mistakes.

Also what could go wrong if there is a delay on BTC reserve bill? I don't expect anything to go wrong because sooner or later it will come to past, even if its not approved this year it still won't stop Bitcoin.

Right now Bitcoin is gearing up to break ATH again and I think it's possible and if it fails later there is nothing bad about it because it's perform so very well since 2022 bear market.

For starters bitcoin is universally recognized as a commodity while none of the other cryptos are.
That is a huge difference and puts bitcoin in a totally different category than anything else including stocks.
But I don't expect you to listen to reason so I won't waste my breath on it any further.

It's funny how Governor Hobbs says they shouldn't invest in what she considers speculative assets like bitcoin
and yet the state of Arizona invests billions in highly speculative assets like the stock market. Hypocritical much?

The statement of accepting Bitcoin as reserve was mentioned by Trump, i don't think during his campaign any state governor was out campaigning for Trump using Bitcoin to pull vote for him. Trump as candidate talked about regulating Bitcoin affairs in his country by creating reserves from countries funds and seized funds, let's not call it a tout at the start of his tenure.

Does the state governor of Arizona have a say if Trump gives other concerning remitting funds for Bitcoin reserves?
