We planned for massive adoption and wished for global recognition but not for the government to get fully involved and try to overthrow the early birds; one thing they are in for is nothing more than to make profit out of bitcoin; it's not far from that, and holding a larger sum if they continue to accumulate means they will hold the power to control the price in their hands.

Will ordinary people benefit from it? Those ordinary people who already own and hold Bitcoin can benefit from the price increase when the government fully gets involved and will also suffer when the government wakes up one day and decides to crash the market.

If all country governments decide to partake and spend billions from public funds to acquire Bitcoin, it will eventually take the price to the top, where it could finally be considered to be expensive compared to how much some think it is right now, but the good thing is anyone will still be able to afford Bitcoin, but not up to the amount they might be aiming for due to their financial position.

First, Bitcoin doesn't have the power or authority to ban governments from owning some or joining the community. 

Second, ordinary people will benefit from it in a number of ways. For one, governments have unlimited resources, and accumulating Bitcoin means its price will go up higher and higher. Also, governments joining the Bitcoin community is like a guarantee that it will remain relevant. They're invested in it, after all.

Finally, governments buying Bitcoin for their national reserves doesn't equate to them controlling Bitcoin.

the government is not going to be buying btc on the public markets en-bulk. they will be doing private trades with other institutional investors.
notice how ETF sponsors dont use coinbases public exchange but they trade on a separate private coinbase "prime" separate market which doesnt affect the public market

the public market is where price discovery happens(sets the price), but the private 'prime' market just exchanges according to the public market price without affecting the public market
so dont expect big 1k-10k-100k buys in one day on the public market to shoot the price up.

secondly when the governments of countries or their individual states hoard coin. they can then collateralise it and then offer things like bonds to its citizens. this will then give normal people a way to invest in "bitcoin price exposure" without needing to hold bitcoin themselves(like etfs did). which is where normal people then dont actually need to buy from the proper bitcoin public markets. again not helping the bitcoin price growth

the main positive of government investment of btc is the mindset that bitcoin is a legitimate asset. its like giving it a gold star rating⭐ a green tick ✓ legitimacy

all we can hope is that governments dont regulate out/prohibit citizen access true bitcoin public market exchanges, to force people into only being able to invest in 'bitcoin' etf/bonds of institutions/treasuries

Yeah, all this talking is all about government buying Bitcoin in large number/ quantity to have high shear in Bitcoin and this will boost Bitcoin growth because those large numbers will reduce the numbers of Bitcoin in circulation.

Yes and of course this will increase the price of Bitcoin if government buy a large number of Bitcoin, institutional body buys and individual follow suit, Bitcoin will boom higher because demand  will increase than supply.

Of course that is what everyone wants to see. Because that will eventually increase Bitcoin price.

Of course everyone will benefit from it including the ordinary people, because the amount anyone has in his wallet will increase if government or institutional company have to buy it and HODL

More importantly, even if we don't like the involvement of governments and organizations, what can we do to stop them? Because, as we said, bitcoin is for everyone and anyone can own it without asking anyone's permission. There is nothing we can do but adapt to all changes and accept them.

Moreover, this is the price we have to pay if we want bitcoin to become popular and accepted globally. The world is still under government control, bitcoin will never be popular if they don't allow it.

I think the real question is, will the government actually buy Bitcoin aggressively?

They might treat it as a reserve, but that’s probably just a move to fight inflation. I don’t think they’ll go all in.

Governments usually profit more when they invest in things they control. Bitcoin’s a different story as nobody controls it, and its price is unpredictable. That kind of risk isn’t something governments like to gamble on. So, no need to worry as there’s still room for all of us to invest and hope for a bright future, like $1 million per Bitcoin… or even higher. 

Governments are cumbersome and even institutional investors are less cumbersome than governments, they both are less flexible than their citizens and small investors. When it comes to a time of main stream adoption with governmental purchases bitcoin proactively, no longer from seized bitcoins, small investors already bought bitcoin for a much long time before and if they can beat challenge of holding bitcoin, they will get a lot of benefit from main stream adoption in future.

I think that time will come with us, I only don't know when but I am aware of what I should do to be richer: DCA bitcoin, stack more satoshis, hold them and wait for that era comes.

It is happening for a while, especially China is accumulating as much as they can privately.

Yes, it will benefit anyone who is holding bitcoin because the supply is limited so when the demand increases, the price will be expensive so all we need to do is nothing but just HODL, and those who understands it will benefits with the global adoption whether it is happening as payment tool or just as an asset, either way it will make bitcoin more valuable.

As long as BTC is still there on the market and can be bought and sold, that's what we gotta do - to use it and to see how it grows.

We can't make institutions and so on not to buy BTC too, if everybody has the same rules as the rest: albeit with small alterations in how they may sell it off and in what quantities, we are still on the same turf, so to speak.

Is that what I want to see? Maybe. Perhaps Bitcoin is for everyone, it's not restricted from being used or adopted by the government but it was designed to be independent of any authority such as the government. So, even if the government is in possession of more Bitcoins, they can not still control or restrict Bitcoin transaction, they could make price dance a bit to their manipulative newss but not for a long time before price will normalize again.

The way other financial instructions are depending on government laws, Bitcoin doesn't, you don't need the government or any middle man to approve before you send or receive Bitcoin, you don't need the government permit before you hold Bitcoin.

As for your second question, ordinary people would still benefit depending if they are holding Bitcoin or not. If they are already holding some Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin pump, they will be in so much profit and what institutional adoption will do is to make price spike. Those ordinary people that have not bought would buy at a higher price if price has pumped.
