It's been a while since I purchased anything with bitcoins. Back in the days when I first got introduced to Bitcoin, I was much more keen on spending it on physical goods, as it felt a bit surreal to be able to buy something tangible with the "magic internet money" that most people didn't even know about.
I remember buying a Raspberry Pi, which I didn't really need for anything. I just wanted to buy something with bitcoins. I don't even know what happened to it, as I was looking for it the other day, but couldn't find it.

But it's not a secret that, to many, Bitcoin is no longer perceived as a form of money, but as a speculative instrument to be held until it's time to sell. It's a bit of a shame, but that's just the way it is. People will not rush to sell an asset that tends to appreciate in value over time, and they wouldn't spend it if they don't have any income in bitcoins (buying BTC just to spend it makes no sense).
