I remember a few years back I saw a video for gold bars that would break apart like bars of chocolate, "solving" the fungibility problem. Maybe it's just coincidence but sometimes it really seems like the gold industry is trying their hardest to catch up with Bitcoin.


Huh? How is gold earning passive income? Also why would you want to spend gold over currency that is de-valuing?

That's fine! What's wrong if the Gold industry brings in some innovative solutions of spending? At the end of the day - consumers like us are going to be benefited. A lot of people invest in silver as well. I am sure that a similar initiative in Silver, will be beneficiation.

Bitcoin is playing at a different league altogether. So if it can influence other industries to follow it's path, no harm! The goal is to benefit the consumers. That's it!

First of all, everyone is trying to copy bitcoin. Nothing too surprising there.
No one really invented gold. It is part of the Earth before we were even here. This system though I would argue copied from Satoshi so can we really say who was in charge or whatnot.
