The few times I have talked to newbies around me who are willing to invest in Bitcoin, I tell them to look at the long-term picture irrespective of the urge they may get at any point to sell. If after telling them all this they still fall for news circulating on social media, it is on them and not me.

If those who have just joined panic just because of bad news that makes the price decline, then the reasons for those investors who have been investing in Bitcoin for a very long time will be the real answer that will strengthen their minds.

Bitcoin should not only be valued from one aspect such as the price side, but Bitcoin needs to be seen from another, more comprehensive side as a currency system. Over time, the way the market works should also not be ignored.

It evident that without having a long term perspective of Bitcoin investment it is pretty much easier to allow any negative information about Bitcoin to influence your investment decisions, that is to say those whose interest is mainly to maximize profits at the shortest time frame will always fall a victim of paying attention to every negative information about Bitcoin and perhaps they are also the ones that can use money meant for their other important needs to buy Bitcoin rather than using a discretionary income and at such they end up being emotional towards the value they have in Bitcoin especially when they have got negative news and at some point they panic sell and even at lost, having long term will help in navigating lots of things in the market and give the opportunity of getting the potential benefits of Bitcoin.

When we know what bitcoin is all about, then we are going to be in the right position of not being brainwashed by fake news regarding what bitcoin is not, it is also important that we receive news from reliable and verified sources, so that we don't get fake news from random social media platforms, it is more important that we know the sources to where we receive our news, because social media is something we cant trust on every sources the news is coming from.

In order to safely invest with bitcoin, newbies should get rid of fake news and stick only to what is legit news. However, the problem is how would these newbies be able to differentiate from fakes news over the legit ones? This is why newbies should prioritize knowledge acquisition first more than profits interest because that will serve as their key to avoid falling on fake news and stick only to what is factual and legit.

Naturally it's always wise to stay off negative minded set of people, it's not just about Bitcoin because their negativity will have a major negative impact on you which might affect your decision making when it comes to Bitcoin or what ever field you find yourself, so you are right in that regard.
Further their is a certain level of knowledge and experience an investor might have, he wouldn't have to be bothered anytime he heard of any negative news about Bitcoin.

Don't get me started on how many of said influencers go for leverage instead of buying BTC on spot..

I think of it more like a vaccination against bad news. So instead of staying away, maybe it is a good thing if you keep hearing the same tired FUD about Bitcoin from people that do not understand nor wish to understand Bitcoin. Eventually you will learn to tune it out and that will become one of your greatest strengths as a Bitcoin hodler. I think avoiding FUD from the fudders is never going to work because they are everywhere. It is like trying to avoid ads, even if you have a great adblocker, eventually you will be confronted with an ad anyway.

Those who believed in Bitcoin definitely planned to hold Bitcoin for a long time. Many of those investors consider themselves successful today, while there were some who did not believe in Bitcoin but opposed it. They think that by investing in Bitcoin, there is a possibility of facing financial losses. Almost all of those who thought like that are regretting it today because Bitcoin has now gained people's trust. Common people are now dreaming about it. Bitcoin is popular worldwide. Those who have not collected Bitcoin yet will regret it even more in the future. Those who are ignorant will not find the potential of Bitcoin, which is why it is necessary to stay away from those people, otherwise they will not be able to increase their investment in Bitcoin.
