The idea of memorising your seed phrase is not entirely bad, but it is just too stressful. I don't think I can even successfully memorise mine. Kudos to you, OP, for this effort because it is not easy. I like the fact that you still have your seed phrase backed up and it's not like you're going to be relying on only one means of backup.

For those talking about the risks of brain memory backup, they should not ignore the fact that some unforeseen circumstances, natural disasters, or even theft can make one lose the seed phrase they've written down or even stored in a supposedly safe place. The best we can do is to have multiple backup options. OP has done it for himself; we should applaud him.

As long as you have another backup and you don't feel like it's putting stress on your brain or affecting your daily life, you can memorize seed phrase.


For me, any storage method has its pros and cons, no method is perfect and absolutely safe. Sometimes this method may work for us, but not for others, so let's not impose our thoughts on each other. So choose the method that suits you and you think is best.

You are giving yourself too much work and stressing your brain at the same time. It's a bad practice for you to memorize your seed phrase because if there's any accident that affects you head, you might lose your memory and your seed phrase is gone likewise your funds.

The best way is to write down your seed phrase on a metal steel or on a paper and make three duplicates of it and store them in three different locations far from each other. I hope that you haven't burnt your seed phrase backup which you wrote down on paper like you said.

Those who are saying it’s a bad practice to memorize your wallet backup have never learned the definition of a mnemonic. They have also never read BIP39, which specifically refers to “a group of easy to remember words”. There is nothing wrong with what you have done. I’ve memorized my 20 word phrase and also have it written down for redundancy.

I still repeat my seed phrases in my head every morning when i wake up, it's a fun little ritual I have.  And havent had to look at that single card for a loooong time.  Eventually I burned it too.

Anyway, that's how I did it.
