I am honestly not surprised, countries having a bitcoin reserve is gradually becoming a global phenomenon, little by little, government of different countries around the world have beginning to realize the importance of bitcoin in economic growth and are gradually embracing it, thanks to Trump and his new US government that opened this door for Bitcoin.
Not that India is about to sign this into law and no one will be surprised about this news neither, but just that bitcoin enthusiasts will like to be hearing positive news about bitcoin.
Even the Nigerian government became bitcoin and crypto friendly after Trump assumed the sit of the US president, seems to me like every country around the world are all rooting to create a bitcoin reserve just as the US is doing so they don't miss out, congratulations to India and hope that they take the suggestion serious, include it in a bill, pass the bill and become one the immediate countries to add a bitcoin reserve.
Do not mind my question. How is Nigeria government more friendly to crypto after Trump resume office? I have seen no difference yet. CBN was the only regulator that was hostile in the past, but when the present government got to office, they lifted the CBN crypto ban in December 2023 but Trump got to office in January 2025..
The government was hostile to P2P when naira price was so volatile but yet they did not look for a way Nigeria will stop buying cryptocurrencies. After Trump got to office, the ban they place on exchanges for people not to be able to access them through the web is still there, but the exchanges apps are working perfectly also before Trump got to office and till now.
