It depends, because all of Satoshi's assets are in bitcoins and as we all know bitcoin price is very volatile. The price cannot increase vertically, it can continue to increase or it can also be dumped 50-60% if the bear season comes. Therefore, Satoshi's billionaire status will be very unstable and completely dependent on bitcoin.

He would be knocked out of the top 20 richest people in the world if the price of bitcoin suddenly fell 50% during the bear season and other billionaires' fortunes increased.

Michael Saylor is not as rich as Elon Musk. Maybe OP assumes that the world's richest man can invest a large chunk of his wealth in Bitcoin, owning more than Satoshi. Nothing is impossible, but I don't think Elon has such intentions. With the price of Bitcoin appreciating, achieving such a dream will keep becoming difficult. And how are we sure that Satoshi doesn't own more Bitcoin in other wallets? It is better not to argue on assumptions that their outcomes cannot be valid or reliable.

Well, I don't think it is likely that someone could become the world's largest Bitcoin owner or holder (or take Satoshi Nakamato's spot), because, as I know that wealthy people rarely put all their money in one basket, perhaps because it is too risky for them. However, if we are talking about companies, institutions, or countries, I think it's still possible for them to become the world's largest Bitcoin owner.

However, there is actually a big lesson we can learn from this: we can see how, if we try to hold Bitcoin long-term, it requires patience, making installments on Bitcoin to save, and I think the best way is with the DCA method, so we can use our money efficiently and profitably. And can you imagine, did it take Satoshi that long? I don't think so, because it is well worth for the increase in value.

The thread is not about who has made significant contributions to Bitcoin or who is smarter or richer.  It is based on the assumption that someone might own more Bitcoin than Satoshi, maybe in the future. I was just trying to assume why OP mentioned Elon Musk, and I concluded that the only reason was that the South African-born billionaire has the financial power to buy more Bitcoin if he has such ambition. Regarding who has been a supporter of Bitcoin,  we all know that Michael Saylor stands out.

Because they are still afraid of it and will be for a long time to come imo.

And I agree on the take that Satoshi would still be the biggest hodler except for bigger entities that would hoard BTC.

And I wouldn't think it would change - it's a fitting role for him to enjoy.
