I have been using kucoin for years but never had any misfortune of getting scammed nor seen anybody having the same thing. I have had countless deposit, trade there as well as p2p deals, and like i said never a issue. So I'm not sure whether it is a scam. I have user other cexs like binance bybit the experience was the same as kucoin. Anyway, even if it is a reputable exchange it is always advised to not to use cex's to store funds. Because they can confiscate it at any times. Remember not your keys not your coins. If you are looking for a short trade, or p2p deals, (beware of scammers, only choose merchant with high tradecount and reputation) I believe there isn't anything to worry about. Just my two sats...

I haven’t really heard anything that bad about KuCoin, to be honest. I follow crypto news closely and chat with plenty of traders on social media, and while ages ago people used to joke that KuCoin didn’t have a “real” office (same goes for Binance, by the way), that’s pretty normal for crypto exchanges.

If you’re concerned about exchange reliability, maybe look into Bitcoin payment processors too. They mainly work with businesses but many now also welcome individual users. The oldest is BitPay, but if privacy is important for you, BTCPay Server is worth checking out — it’s open-source and self-hosted.

If you want something easy to use, with fiat options and features you’d expect from an exchange, try a wallet like Cryptomus. They don’t share your info with governments and they use dynamic addresses to keep balances private. NOWPayments is also good — they support a big list of coins.

One piece of advice though: be cautious with services that promise “no KYC ever” — they can often be riskier than they’re worth

Kucoin is one of the exchanges with quite good reputation in the market and so far, I have not heard any allegations about them. Even though I don't use it often, but like everyone else, I've never had any problems whenever I use it. So far, everything seems fine and smooth.

I just checked on CMC, this exchange is ranked 9th among the top exchanges and on coingecko, this exchange is ranked 12th and rated 9/10. So you can completely trust to use it.

What I noticed about Kucoin is that their withdraw fee was too high for me. Far higher that other exchanges that I am using.

Another thing is that they started to implement taxes. This one is the main reason I stopped using the exchange.

About the bad review, check other exchanges, you will noticed that they are all reviewed not that good on Trustpilot also. I do not know the reason but the exchange was not bad when I was using it except those two things that I mentioned.

As far as I know, Kucoin is one of the reputable exchanges at the moment. I have been using Kucoin for more than three years now and never have problem with them. Regarding the review on trustpilot, I can't disregard it since everyone has a unique experience using any platform. One thing I know is that a user region also contribute to this exchanges treat them since they are operating according to region jurisdiction.

KuCoin is a well-known, established exchange with a good reputation. I've been using it for a long time with a KYC verified account, and I haven't experienced any problems during this time.

Every user has their own personal experience. Some accounts are not without problems. Sometimes, some users cheat or commit illegal acts, or they may encounter a problem and receive a weak response from support. Therefore, they submit negative reviews on Trustpilot. However, this does not mean that KuCoin is a scam.
So, from my personal experience (apart from being a centralized exchange) it's a good exchange.

If you value your privacy, you won't use a centralized exchange with KYC like Kucoin.

Don't trust not only Trustpilot but also all other third-party review websites. You must check reviews on different sites and get overal reviews on one exchange.

Much better if you don't fully trust the reviews given on Trust pilot but just make this a guide to be more careful dealing on the platforms you are inquiring.

For longest time I'm using kucoin but never encounter any problem with them. Maybe those people just expect to win on their trades and suddenly lose due to some bad market movement also poor decision making then create bad reviews as part of revenge.

This situation is happening that's why I don't pay much attention on that thing unless if the feedback came from the community of Bitcointalk since we could read lots of real time reviews coming from legitimate people in this platform.

I didn't use Kucoin myself and I don't have experience of using this exchange but I know many people who work there without any problems si far. Kucoin is a well-known exchange and got a good reputation. Trustpilot cannot be a reason to say if Kucoin is a scam or not. You can easily spend money and ask people to give positive or negative feedback on Trustpilot by offering them a small amount of money. This is what many other platforms do.
