Few days ago I have read a news fraud Trezor application that have stolen up to 1.6 million dollars in the form of BTC. So you should take precautions like using the official github for fixing defective wallets . If your holding a lot of Bitcoin you should grab a hardware wallet like Trezor Safe 3 and ledger and open the passcode. 25th word-seed alone is obv not enough to keep scammers out.   

It's so common, it's not funny, you could also add extension stores. Regarding Apple app store particularly, people have this idea that it's stringent with it's security measures so they are kind of less wary as they need to be.

the most dangerous way of downloading softwares has got to be from chrome

there would be extensions or apps that you can download from chrome and i would suggest for no one to try this because it can literally be anything damaging

i am surprised to see that apple has scam apps when they are known for being a secure one due to exclusivity but play store having fake apps is not surprising
