It's true, the adoption is real and growing fast. It's wild to go from theory to buying coffee. We're still early, but it's starting to feel like the future is actually arriving.

I think it is very encouraging to see more shop outlets now accepting Bitcoin for little items. Originally, what we were used to was people holding on to Bitcoin for investment and people making use of Bitcoin to purchase only big items since the general culture towards it was more for investment. But if more shops begin to accept payments for little items in Bitcoin, it will be encouraging for individuals like us who have Bitcoin to make payments in Bitcoin, which will slowly help us in the adoption of the culture of Bitcoin as currency for everyday use.

The adoption of bitcoin as a payment method has been going on for many years now and there are many businesses and stores that accept bitcoin. This is not new.

But we need to be realistic that there are too many barriers preventing people from spending bitcoin. Most people just see it as an investment, or the volatility, speed, and transaction fees make many hesitant to use bitcoin. El Salvador is an example, bitcoin used to be legal currency there but according to many surveys, up to 90% of people do not want to use bitcoin as currency and payment method. They still prefer to use fiat for everyday payments because it is more convenient and simpler.

Bitcoin is better suited as a store of value due to its unique design.

Well indeed, bitcoin and crypto currency adoption in general has come far, coming down here in my country, several stores and businesses now accept bitcoin payment, one can literally walk into any car stand and pick a car of his or her choice and make the payment in bitcoin, this is absolutely amazing because here in my country, the central bank have credited limits to how much a person can transfer in a day, and for most people, their daily limit is not any anywhere near the price of a car..
So what this means is that if you are going to pay for a new car and you are paying in fiat, you will have to pay in check because if you will be transferring the money, you will have to be transferring the money everyday for 4 to 10 days depending on the price of the car you are buying..

But opting to make payment for the car in bitcoin simply means you can make payment for the car once in a single transfer, get all the necessary documents and drive your new car home..

Bitcoin payment is the best, most especially when paying for something that is very expensive.

Getting world wide adoption is good, but it's not good when i pay 0.5$ - 2$ fees for any transanction use Bitcoin. I don't think many people will also use it regularly when a bitcoin tx with cost them one or two bucks. unless the adoption of lightning network is getting massive, it's worthy to use bitcoin for daily txs.

Bitcoin world order? Haven’t heard that one before. Governments are still trying to implement CBDCs luckily people can see through their crap.
It’s good business to have bitcoin and other crypto as a payment method. If there was outlet in my region I’d definitely buy some breakfast meal with bitcoin for the experience and support.

I've been doing this for years, just via a Bitcoin backed credit card. (So technically, the seller gets fiat, but from my perspective I am using BTC...)

We are incredibly fortunate to be early adopters of Bitcoin. Its progress toward global adoption is already clearly visible, it is just a matter of time before it becomes a reality, spreading to all corners of the globe. For now, Bitcoin is still not global, meaning that some countries still impose restrictions on its use, or adoption. For example, in my country, Bitcoin is still only permitted for trading and storage purposes, but not yet legal tender. I believe the beginning of widespread Bitcoin adoption will be its adoption as "legal tender", that is the challenge, and I hope that will happen soon in several countries, including in my country.

By the way, I see that two countries currently allow Bitcoin as legal tender, according to the CMC website, and it seems several other countries are expected to do the same soon.

I'm currently in Sofia, Bulgaria for a few days as a short vacation. Surprisingly, I saw more than a handful of shops (coffee shops, bars, a mini market) with a clear sign claiming that Bitcoin is accepted here. I also saw a Bitcoin ATM on a mall, but that's not something extraordinary. Even though I personally don't support it myself, firstly because I'd rather not spend something as valuable as Bitcoin for a coffee or a drink, and secondly, because I don't have access to my wallet through my phone, it's nice and interesting to see that people are accepting it.
