For years bitcoin performance has captivated investors, painting the picture of an unstoppable asset, but an in-dept look at the data of the cryptocurrency market reveals a brutal reality, bitcoin future performance might not mirror the past. The acronical profits enjoyed by the early investors operating in an immature market has fundamentally changed,
While I might agree that a lot has changed, I dont very much settle in on the fact that, new investors might not enjoy the staggering profits enjoyed by pioneer investors and why you might think patience dont go. In fact, patience works a very big deal here. Now, the market isnt paced as it was in terms of ROI and thats because of the population that are now invested in Bitcoin today. While pioneer investors might have had to wait a decade, you now have to hodl for several decades.
Today the bitcoin market has reached a level of structural maturity that reduces the like hood of the initial incredible returns made by the early investors in btc, I considered the market mature because of the increase in investment by large institutions and regulated products like ETFs, with macroeconomic factors which reduce the the potential for huge profits for today's investors, this means relying on bitcoins unpredictable volatility for guaranteed profits can be considered as a gamble.
It is far from maturity because, we still have projections of Bitcoin into a million in dollars. The price as it is remains far fetched from that number. Lets not forget, its just 21million Bitcoins with a good volume of it lost and majority of the world dont still own fractions of Bitcoin which means, this can only be compensated for in the pricing of Bitcoin and what we have now isnt it.
