I've experienced it several times in the past, but I'm not as stupid as they think, because my bros have experienced it before too. Instead of having to cancel & play with the balance, I waited until they wanted to process my withdrawal, if I remember correctly, it took 3 or 4 days. After that I never played at that casino again, it was an important lesson for me to check the reputation of a casino before creating an account.
Three to four days is a long time, I myself have experienced that it takes hours to get annoyed let alone days, I don't think I would be able to hold back if it got to that point and if the option is to cancel and play it again I would probably choose that option.
