Bitcoin is a unique cryptocurrency today because it is not like other coins that is centralized or having the influence of its creator. Satoshi unknown and its disappearance from online posting has been the reason bitcoin is very unique. He does not have any influence on bitcoin price and which is a very good thing.

Imagine Satoshi was a REALLY smart person no one even thought may have been the inventor of Bitcoin.  Now that their identity has been exposed all over the World, they have no choice other than now having a public life, having journalists press them for obvious reasons and possibly even having them dead considering Bitcoin IS the kind of project politicians with hunger of power definitely see as a giant enemy.

Now imagine the other side of the story where Satoshi was actually Epstein who during his free time on the island worked on it.  Now Bitcoin has a pedophile inventor and even if it really is a genius idea, people will run away as it quickly gains the 'Epstein' reputation.  See how even a simple rumor affected how some people see it.

How do you see this as having any benefit to Bitcoin?  Either Bitcoin suffers or the person or group who invented it.  In both cases, it is not worth it.

It's easy to imagine what will happen when Satoshi is finally revealed.

One thing that comes to my mind is just not an increase in value of Bitcoin but an increase in the fear index. What do you think the government will do when they finally have Satoshi at hand?

If course they will not hesitate to try what they haven't been able to do years ago. Though even Satoshi cannot make changes to Bitcoin without the community agreeing to any. But think of it as something that Satoshi never wanted to happen that's why he left.

No. Bitcoin has done very well so far without any interference from Satoshi. So his absence is actually a good thing for Bitcoin.

There's no need to try to find out who Satoshi is anymore. He's gone, and Bitcoin is now in the hands of the developers and the community. That's what matters most.

No, I believe that will be the dooms day for bitcoin. If  the identity of Satoshi was unmasked today, then Bitcoin will eventually be forced into becoming a centralised financial system by the government. Remember that most or all government are against the idea of decentralisation because they try by all means to protect their fraudulent schemes, so if Satoshi is known, he/she might be forced to act according to the government bidding.

Another thing, imagine if Satoshi’s identity is revealed and it is discovered that he is from China, do you think America and its allies will be investing in such project? Ofcourse No. And do you think if he/she is from America, China and its allies will invest? Same answer, No. Generally, knowing the true identity will do bitcoin more harm than good IMO.

I would really like to know how in your opinion Satoshi can be 'tied down' by a Government and forced to make Bitcoin centralized.  Satoshi coming back and proposing a centralization of Bitcoin would only work against his favors.  It is not like he is the God of Bitcoin who can snap a finger and change it.  As of now.  The only way he can influence Bitcoin is by proposing and the rest of the community accepting and adopting that proposal.

Look at it from this perspective, Satoshi is a very influential name amongst the Bitcoin community as the creator and many even view him as a demy god. I know he can not change the bitcoin protocol all by himself but with his influence, other developers and community at large are likely to support his decision. This is somewhat similar to how some developers are following the lead of Luke jnr  and supporting him blindly in his crippled and centralised BIP 110 proposal because of his past glories.

Ofcourse we know governments play dirty games and so long as you are against their motives, they look for every means possible to buy you in or eliminate you. Lets say Satoshi compromises due to the  pressure subjected on him by the government, he could bring up a proposal that disguises its true nature just like BIP 110 just to meet the bid of the government and he will likely pull more developers and miners to his side because of his influence. In this sense, I think Bitcoin originality and protocol can be centralised in a way, I stand to be corrected though.

Living people are findable, no matter how skilled someone is at concealing their identity, the authorities always find a way to locate them. So it's time to start thinking that the guy probably died shortly after creating Bitcoin. If he were really alive, his identity and whereabouts would have already been revealed, and he would have used the coins he possesses. It wouldn't make much sense for him to hide nowadays, since the technology is widely accepted and people wouldn't care much about what he was doing with his life. The market is already very large, and he wouldn't change that.

Bitcoin is a decentralized project from its code (open source), developments (decentralized Bitcoin developers as well as any protocol upgrade needs a community consensus), network (in hashrate distribution and Bitcoin node distribution), no censorship and with all these things, I really don't see any mandatory need of finding and knowing identify of the founder, Satoshi Nakamoto.
