Thoughts on this. In order to have Bitcoin achieve better credibility to be used more mainstream as a world money system,
Do you think it is important to find the final answer on who Satoshi is actually or was?
Looking at Bitcoin history, Bitcoin proliferate not because Satoshi is known, it became popular because of the Bitcoin feature itself, having a trustless system makes it more trustworthy, aside from that the security and permissionless access makes it easier to access without having to worry about the security of the transactions.
So, I do not think that there is a need to know the real Satoshi for Bitcoin to be used in mainstream transactions.
Would this bring more confidence to majority of the population in order to want to use BTC as the mainstream money system?
No, because Bitcoin had been thriving even without knowing the real person behind the invention.
Do you think if we find out the identity of Satoshi that it would increase value? or would it decrease?
No, finding the identity of Satoshi will just be an historical event, I do not think it will affect the market except if some group or person intends to do some of their propaganda during this event.
