Because I am a Holo Maxi I like to see a nice full hologram design on a coin. To me personally the hologram is a major part of what makes physical bitcoins so attractive I don't like the idea of that being covered up somewhat, but I also understand the importance of having firstbits or a QR code to make things easier for people so I intend on having that on my next hologram before my next coin release. In the meantime all these coins come with an insert with the QR code/addy text so you can scan the info you need or find it on the master makers list Thank you everyone for the kind words.
I get your reasoning and ofc it's up to you how to handle this. Agreed, with the pure holo it looks better and I noticed your hologram have some very nice looking details and general design. Part of what makes your coins stand out for me.
But also a small window showing the first bits would not take away much form from that - for me personally. I guess I am influenced by the OGs here, CASASCIUS and LEALANA are what influenced me the most here.
The main reason I prefer firstbits: You got everything you need in one item, the coin itself. No worrying of how to look up serial and linked public address or a makers list or keeping the QR papers etc.
Glad to hear you will be adding it to the next release, some laser engraved first bits may be a great compromise.
@MoparMiningLLC Thanks for pointing out my public address/keys mistake. Sigh, I knew this but not actively being involved with crypto for a long time has made me mix it up again. Also getting old here.
