I feel like you are a troll who hates Bitcoin. For a second, I wondered what you are doing in a Bitcoin forum when you basically hate it, but right after that second, I remembered again that you are a troll.
He's definitely a troll trying to make sense from his troll. We can not have the exact figure of how many times bitcoin was declared dead from its inception until now but we can all see how it keeps proving the haters wrong because it doesn't just come back, it comes back stronger. Calling it a dead coin is a joke on them and not on bitcoin anymore.
But, I think Op is making sense in one aspect of his post where he said it is not something to bet on. That's a fair point if we want to consider the risk aspect of Bitcoin. The risk make some people to be scare but that's not a justification to say it's dead or saying people that declare it dead are right. If he's a troll and still enjoying the forum, he should be ashamed of himself. We know how trolls usually end up here.
