Saying bitcoin is dead is nothing but a false claim, youve heard about the word volatile thats the nature of bitcoin. What you should consider dead are those pump and dump tokens that are nowhere to be found in the crypto industry, but as for bitcoin it isnt dead neither does it seem like its dying.Bitcoin is only experiencing a season called the bear market, and this season is the season where most investors lose their minds due to drastic price declines, and critics and bitcoin haters uses this medium to lure weak investors into selling their coins at a loss with their false claims. So,lastly I would say that bitcoin isnt dead its only going through a phase(bear market)and only knowledgeable bitcoiners with tough skin are the ones that would keep holding their coins without minding the false claims.
To be honest, for the past few years I have not had off the Bitcoin is dead rumor or statement as we might call it. I think we have long past the error of Bitcoin is dead, we are now facing greater responsibilities as institutional adoption and global regulation.
The idea of Bitcoin dead has always been resurrected in each their market. At this point people only measure the value of bitcoin by its price. Immediately Bitcoin does - 50% or more, the fud of Bitcoin dead will begin to escalate.
I feel that bitcoin is very mature now; it reduced from 126 to 58k and there were no news of bitcoin dead. So, the industry is matured and bitcoin has come to stay. I don't actually get where the Op saw the bitcoin dead theory again.
