There's another topic almost related to this one but the discussion of that old topic was about a beer company using the heat from  a mining rig to produce beer, now this one is about using same source of heat to warm pizza, I think it's healthy, if not, then it's dumb of him to bring it open without verifying it's safe or has some health risks.

Concern about health risk is too much, I don't see there is too severe health risk with it but I see this idea is too weird and not necessarily at all.

Bitcoin mining creates heat and there are different attempts to reuse that heat resource for something else: like beer production, pizza warmth, boil/ warm water, dehydrated food and more.

There are so many ways through which we can utilize the energy exerted from mining Bitcoin instead of allowing it to be rendered useless.

This makes it a lucrative idea for this person to achieve an innovation in his own way to keep his pizza warm in a bag using the mining energy, PizzaAxe. Any idea brought out with the use of Bitcoin could definitely bring a positive impact to others, as long as we are going to give more intentional on it benefits and how it could be made applicable in solving other users ' problems as well.

Honestly I still don't see why some persons in this thread don't see that.... Of course there's been some weird products in the US that sold unbelievably but most of them turned out to be solutions to problems that existed but the creator didn't initially create them from those problems.

The heat emission from a mining ware of that nature is pretty low and it's as efficient as using that same power for a Heater of sorts. Tech is focused more on reducing heating instead.

In this case, the source of the heat doesn’t matter; what counts is that the heat warms up the pizza. Therefore, there is nothing harmful about it (since the pizza doesn’t come into contact with anything toxic).


Joke or not, the concept behind this project could be applied in a different way. The heat generated by the mining unit could be used to warm a person rather than a pizza. There are many countries with cold climates; placing the heating element under a jacket (against the torso) could create comfortable conditions (or at least as comfortable as possible) in harsh weather. The entire mining unit could be housed in a backpack, allowing the heat to flow directly beneath the jacket. This solves two problems at once: mining itself and the utilization of the mining process's byproduct, waste heat, for warmth in cold climates. Greenpeace supporters ought to be thrilled with this idea. If add a renewable energy source, like a hand-cranked dynamo, then the Nobel Prize is in the bag.

At the moment, the idea may seem odd, impractical, or of little use; yet, many great inventions began with similarly "silly" implementations. Who knows? Perhaps this enthusiast's pursuit will lead to something more interesting regarding the utility and application of compact BTC-miners.

For example, people in many cold regions of the world rely on heating appliances. Why not combine them with miners? This creates a dual benefit: generating heat while simultaneously supporting the BTC-network (and earning btc profits).

The person created it only as a hobby, and he is proving it effectively. I definitely respect this initiative. He is a hard-working and diligent person, so he can discover this and achieve a lot of popularity.
And in the future, he can take a bigger plan that he can prove his initiative more clearly in technology. But I respect his initiative a lot and he will succeed in the future.

Imagine someone built a gaming PC with a small oven inside it to cook pizza.
The creator would say:
“Look! You can play games and cook pizza at the same time!”
 
A commenter might react like this:
“Why would I buy a gaming PC to cook pizza? I already have an oven. You’re just adding this feature as a fun marketing gimmick.” That is essentially the point the person was trying to make regarding the concept of Bitcoin mining and pizza.

It reminds me of other projects that also involve the heat that is produced by the Bitcoin mining process. So, there's a tulip farmer in the Netherlands that uses this kind of heat to grow their tulips to save on their gas bill [1]. It's not a small farm. It's a big greenhouse. There's also a similar idea, but this one was conducted in Canada to grow tomatoes [2]. The heat produced by Bitcoin mining process is useful for heating greenhouses to grow tomatoes in cold countries like Canada.

Before this, we had Bitcoin beers 🍻🍻🍻, where a company was using the heat generated from Bitcoin mining to make beer --- and now comes this bag. I just love seeing people come up with innovative ideas to keep doing something and mining Bitcoin at the same time. I don't know if it's efficient enough or not, but it's definitely innovative. I wonder what other ideas people can come up with using the heat generated from Bitcoin mining, it would definitely be just as interesting.
