True adoption should be measured by whether people actually find Bitcoin useful, and not whether everyone is actually using it. No matter how much potential a technology has, different people would always have different reasons for opting to use that technology, but those who are really helping the technology are those who know its true value and worth and actually appreciate it. Some may value bitcoin as a method of payment, while there are those who prefer it to be for long term investment and store of value. No matter what, people should always be free to choose for themselves what role it should play in their lives, and thats basically where true conviction stems from.
There are plenty of payment methods aside Bitcoin and many of them did not have any global adoption, same way Bitcoin can't have global adoption. Bitcoin is already global scale, there is layer 2 transaction across different places, the governments literally recognize Bitcoin, the only thing that I think Bitcoin need now is government transparency, they should let's Bitcoin be a legal tender, it will create standard across the globe like the US dollar.
Many countries are fighting inflation, there stocks markets are not meeting with the rate, if they let Bitcoin becomes recognized, people can find a way to keep their asset on Bitcoin than watch their investments grows at decrement rates, let's there be freedom and right to adoption.
