If this could truly happen, where Bitcoin became a means of payment used by many people, it would certainly be incredibly cool and wonderful. Because then we would no longer be controlled by the current financial system. However, it's clearly not easy, because, fundamentally, not many people transact with Bitcoin in the real world, preferring to hold their Bitcoin for investment.
Because, fundamentally, it's more profitable than using it as a medium of exchange. So, perhaps that's how people currently think about Bitcoin. That's perfectly natural, because it's undeniably very valuable right now, so exchanging it for something else would be a real shame. So, yes, it's currently quite difficult to use Bitcoin as a means of exchange, due to several reasons such as price volatility and transaction costs. Therefore, making it an investment asset is clearly still a primary choice for many.
The payment system is working at a good level because now many big names are entering, but sadly few things have still never been favorable because its nature is volatile; it's never helping many merchants to have this as their payment system, but its features trading and saving are helping enough. Big adoption is working for stability and also increasing people's confidence because with this it's having enough chance of giving good support in many other conditions that are needed by people due to high inflation. Fiat money is never as helpful as Bitcoin; it's a good advantage with this.
Accumulating and keeping this in the long run is currently one of the best features, which is giving enough encouragement because people are now doing their saving through Bitcoin with having control and security; hopefully it's going to be a good future.
