Unfortunately, the trust aspect is somehow like an illusion because people trust people who trust other people they think are trustworthy. They trust others, not the product.
From transactions to relationships. The foundation is trust, but what made her keep using it could be more than just trust. It could be about brand attachment that comes from consistent emotional and psychological connections.

I think crypto projects could do better by being honest about their risks instead of making everything sound like an opportunity to get rich.
For those in crypto, what makes you trust a project enough to put your money into it and when did you regret any investment?
I think this is not how marketing works. It's not only in crypto, it happens in marketing in general. Being honest and telling the truth would never work for marketing. It's not a marketing tool. For example, you are hired as a marketer whose task is to market McD. Would you only highlight how delicious the burgers are, how cheap the food is, and how fast and easy it is to order, or would you also add that it will make you fat, increase your cholesterol, and that the beef comes from a cruel farming process? I bet no one would market a product like that.
The best you can do to be honest is to not mention it. Or mention it with a different narrative. I mean, the same meaning but a different approach. For example, in that McD case, this burger is ready to make you fat because it's so delicious that you'll never be satisfied with just one burger.
And what makes me trust a project? The judgment of others who I think are smarter than me. Yeah, back again to the beginning of this post, I trust people who trust others. I am a follower.
Once again, your reply shows that the post is worth the while. I love the line you used about the fact that, you ate a follower and that you will trust over again, people that trust people that you trust. In other words, trustworthy people can be trusted. So if someone has a track record of been trustworthy, you are not scared to commit to what the person says because of the confidence you have in the person that recommended him/her as the case may be. Which happens to also bring to light , referrals.
Thanks for sharing.
