I guess if you're gonna do it, now's the time to do it, since after hardfork it will be a bit more costly with minimum mixin enforced.

the trx are all mixed. seems more like a try to push up blocksize? it looks like they try to make big trx by design?

It could also be a lot more activity now that bittrex and poloniex are working again. I see a lot of mixins.

Looks like a lot of mining dust. Could be a bonnet operator trying to move funds, or in general a miner. Whoever it is, they might be spreading out their transactions to stay within the block size limits, or they've made their own script to help counter the time correlation identifier information ( if I understand that Mrl report)

Not unexpected, This coin is a serious threat so it is a prime target especially during a update with an upcoming hard fork. These attacks should have come as no surprise whatsoever. And I'm sure various scenarios were checked out on testnet during that long testing period. although it would not be conducive to the security of the network to release exactly what was tested for for obvious reasons.

no, these are not withdrawls.

-they use mixing 5
-most are very small/have more or less same size

could be pool payouts but i dont think so too.

maybe they found another exploit and prepare an attack now.

FWIW a few months back I sent someone 100k XMR on testnet from my testnet mining wallet, and that was split over something crazy like 130 transactions.

I also can remember these issues with bittrex. This is why I hold most of my coins in my own wallet. I think I will now take every coin out off bittrex.

Not 2^64 coins. 2^64 atomic units, where each unit is 0.000000000001 XMR. That comes to 18m+ coins, which is the base supply.

One of the credible devs disputed whether it can really be done with a soft fork, though I'm skeptical that it couldn't. I don't remember whether it was on that list or somewhere else.
